1. Overview
Galileo RDP is a cutting-edge solution facilitating document production for Galileo users
worldwide. It brings offers the next level of productivity no matter if you are a consolidator
searching for reliable solution to coordinate your partners activity or if you are a subagent who
is needs an easy tool to process your bookings.
Software architectural breakthrough results in fully automated cooperation between
consolidators and subagents with regards to ticket issue, refund, revalidation, void procedures
as well as EMD issue, refund. Galileo RDP automates routine procedures that used to be done
by agents. It sends booking file to consolidator’s quite, opens it in consolidators environment,
processes it according to subagent’s requirements, prints all mandatory supporting
documents and does dozen of other important things, while you just need to do a couple of
mouse clicks in a pleasant and intuitive interface.

2. Access to the Galileo RDP
For Galileo RDP integration to Galileo Desktop it is necessary to download the installation file
by the install link, provided by Galileo representative.
After this user should perform such actions:
Shut down Galileo Desktop;
Run the setup file and install;
Run the Galileo Desktop. After successful installation Galileo RDP on the toolbar Galileo Desktop will display an additional button
The user should press the button on the toolbar to display Galileo RDP window, where username and password should be specified:
After clicking on the button Login, user activates Galileo RDP.
3. Profile Settings
Prior to using the Galileo RDP, the consolidator must configure the profile for each subagent in
the Partners list. To edit subagent’s profile by the consolidator it’s necessary to click on the
name of the subagent:
In the subagent the consolidator can determine:
balance on tickets issued in the currency of the IATA zone;
list of permitted operations (extract / cancel / refund etc.);
the codes of white or blacklisted carriers.
3. Getting Started
Upon opening Galileo RDP session a subagent is invited to search for reservations for further
processing:
A search can be accomplished by:
Galileo PNR locator;
names of passengers;
ticket number (for bookings, gone to the archive).
Search results are displayed in a list, where you can select the right book and press the button
Select.
Thereafter the user selects the tab to perform appropriate action : Issue, Void, Refund,
Revalidate, Exchange.
5. Operations with e-tickets
4.1 ET Issue
Before issuing an e-ticket, the agent needs to take the following steps:
1. Check the status of flight segments, locator from airline
2. Create a fare calculation field
3. Enter mandatory ticketing modifiers and end-transact PNR
4. If the reservation is has been changed since it was last opened in Galileo RDP, you
should click the button «Refresh».
After that, select the field calculation /passengers, which issued the ticket and press the button
“Issue”.
Further in Galileo RDP to display the message about the successful execution of ticket
and instantly update the credit limit of subagent.
Also a notification is sent by e-mail to both subagent and consolidator with the following
information:
РСС code, subagent name, who has got a ticket;
Ticket price;
Booking locator;
Link to Viewtrip for view and print the supporting documentation;
Links to download the ET and itinerary for all active tickets in booking
4.2 Void
In order to void the ticket through Galileo RDP, the user needs to choose tab “Void” and press the
button “Void”.
Next the user needs to confirm, that selected ticket should really be cancelled:
After this you see the message that the ticket was successfully voided. The amount on
the ticket will be refunded to the balance of the subagent, subagent and consolidator to receive
a notice by e-mail.
4.3 Refund
Galileo RDP allows to make full and partial refund with a penalty, and the refund of
unused taxes.
To perform full refund of electronic tickets through Galileo RDP you need to activate the option Use
full automatic refund and press the button Refund:
After this a message is displayed to user in Galileo RDP window, confirming that the refund was
made successfully.
The amount of the returned ticket will be immediately transferred to the balance of the
subagent. Both the subagent and the consolidator to get a notice via e-mail.
In case of partial refund, the user manually inserts the following information:
Original commission rate
Cash amount used
Credit amount used
Unused taxes to be refunded
Indicator Y specified for the return of taxes (fees) to passenger
Indicator N to indicate if the passenger`s tax will not be returned
After filling out the required fields Refund mask the user must click on the button Next.
Then check the correct filling of the Refund mask with data automatically imported from
the reservation and click the Refund button.
In the pop-up window should indicate whether the refund should be made of this ticket by
clicking the OK button to confirm or Cancel to cancel:
Then a message is displayed stating that the ticket was successfully refunded.
The amount on the ticket will be refunded the balance of the subagent, e-mail notification is
sent to the subagent and consolidator.
4.4 Exchange To exchange e-ticketing through Galileo RDP user should select Exchange tab and follow these
steps:
• Pick ticket exchange that will be produced,
• Select a segment for exchange
• specify the Commission in the Commission
• click Next.
Then you need to check the correctness of filling the mask Exchange, in which the data is
automatically imported from the reservation, and click Next:
Then a message appears that ticket was successfully exchanged and in your booking will
appear a new ticket number in field * SI, the status of the original ticket to be changed
from OPEN to EXCH
4.5 Revalidation
To make an e-ticket revalidation through Galileo RDP user must select Revalidate tab, open the
booking and choose the segment and a coupon that must be revalidated
Then click Revalidate.
Then a pop-up window is displayed where user can cancel or confirm revalidation.
If revalidation successfully is completed, a matching post will be displayed:
5. Operations with EMD
Currently only operation Issue and Void for EMD-S and EMD-A are available to the user. If
the user needs to make additional operations with EMD please contact to consolidator.
5.1 EMD issue
Firstly the user creates ASVC segment / SSR request in the PNR in the GDS. When selecting
a screen EMD in Galileo RDP by default Issue tab is displayed. The user only has to select
passengers, form of payment, and related ticket for EMD issue and click Issue.
Then a message with EMD number appears that EMD was successfully issued
and in your booking will appear a new EMD number, the status of the EMD to be
changed from KD to HI.
If the user tries to Issue EMD without a previously created ASVC segment / SSR request,
the message with error is displayed.
Also an e-mail is sent to a consolidator and a sub-agent the amount of EMD, which is
deducted from the subagent’s credit limit .
5.2 EMD VOID
In order to void the EMD through Galileo RDP, the user needs to choose tab “Void” and press the button “Void”.
After this the user sees the message that the EMD was successfully voided. The amount on the ticket will be refunded to the balance of the subagent, subagent and consolidator to receive a notice by e-mail.
After the EMD was successfully voided the user need to cancel ASVC segment /SSR request in the PNR.
