1 John 1:1-3 NKJV

1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

The Blessed Hope

Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God

The scripture tells us:

See how very much our heavenly Father loves us, for he allows us to be called his children NLT

Other versions say it like this:

SEE WHAT [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! AMP

Think how much the Father loves us. He loves us so much that he lets us be called his children

CEV

Other versions say it like this:

Narito, kung gaano kalaki ang pag-ibig ng Ama na ipinagkaloob sa atin upang tawagin tayong mga anak ng Diyos TAGALOG

See ye what manner charity the Father gave to us, that we be named the sons of God, and be his

sons. WYCLIFFE

Other versions say it like this:

They all point out to us the graciousness of God for allowing us to be called his Sons and Daughters

They all point out to us the graciousness of God for allowing us to be called his Sons and Daughters

Its not that we are worthy

They all point out to us the graciousness of God for allowing us to be called his Sons and Daughters

Its not that we are worthy

But yet we are!

You take on the family name when your baptized..

14 For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

15 Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named,

Ephesians 3:14-15 NKJV

Your filled with his spirit when you receive the baptism of the holy spirit

“ And it shall come to pass afterwardThat I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh;

Joel 2:28 NKJV

But this is what was spoken by the prophet Joel:

Acts 2:16 NKJV

And you become born again of the water and of the spirit and you become a child of God who has taken on the family name….

5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7 Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

John 3:5-7 NKJV

By faith and because of his grace you follow the word of God and are born again of the water and of the spirit and have a right to claim the title

“I am a son of God”

“I am a daughter of God”

It has nothing to do with being worthy

It has nothing to do with being worthy

It has to do with being a Son

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Isaiah 64:6 NKJV

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Isaiah 64:6 NKJV

We should be overcomers

We need to be overcomers

Jesus came to save us from our sins not in our sins

But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.

Isaiah 64:6 NKJV

Yet all our righteousness, the best we can do is just as filthy rags in light of the righteousness of God, But because we have the blessed hope..

And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

1 John 3:3

We cleanse ourselves…

With Gods help we become overcomers..

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be

like him; for we shall see him as he is.

This is the blessed hope..

Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be

like him; for we shall see him as he is.

This is the blessed hope..

This world is not all there is…

This is the blessed hope..

This world is not all there is…

As there was a beginning, there is going to be an end

For us the end is going to be found in the coming of the Lord

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord.

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 NKJV

51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

1 Corinthians 15:51-52 KJV

There’s going to come a time when the trumpets going to sound, and all the true sons and daughters of God are gonna be gone

In a moment….

In the twinkling of an eye…

This event will change life as we no it for the Sons and Daughters of God

the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed

Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to

meet the Lord in the air.

And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation

thereof is nigh.

Luke 21:20 KJV

Jesus gave us some of the signs of his coming..

Today Israel is compassed about by nations who would love nothing else than to destroy it..

Just this week Hamas the terrorist organization sworn to destroy Israel was elected into power over the Palestinians

Today Israel is compassed about by nations who would love nothing else than to destroy it..

Iran is seeking nuclear weapons with a President who has sworn the destroy Israel and has apparently been involved in terrorist activities himself

Could Iran and its quest for nuclear weapons be a fulfillment of Bible prophecy?

But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt

with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.

2 Peter 3:10 NKJV

120 million people who hate her surround Israel

And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation

thereof is nigh.

Luke 21:20 KJV

And Jesus said:

Many today see the connection between the events happening

in the Middle East and the fulfillment of

Bible Prophecy

I believe I will live to see the coming of the Lord

Whether it will be today, tomorrow or next year or several years away I cannot answer

But I can see the signs of his coming

29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees;

30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.

31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.

32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled. Luke 21

When the church is gone this world will be put into the throes of the great tribulation

19 Thy dead men shall live, together with my dead body shall they arise. Awake and sing, ye that dwell in dust: for thy dew is as the dew of herbs, and the earth shall cast out the dead.

20 Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

21 For, behold, the LORD cometh out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity: the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain. Isaiah 26:19-21 KJV

Isaiah foresaw the coming of the Lord in prophetical terms

the earth shall cast out the dead.

Isaiah foresaw the coming of the Lord in prophetical terms

the earth shall cast out the dead.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.

1 Thess 4:16

Isaiah foresaw the coming of the Lord in prophetical terms

the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

Isaiah foresaw the coming of the Lord in prophetical terms

the earth also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

The book of Revelations speaks of a time when the slain would be no more covered

And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the

earth.

Rev 18:24 KJV

Isaiah foresaw the coming of the Lord in prophetical terms

Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

Isaiah foresaw the coming of the Lord in prophetical terms

Come, my people, enter thou into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee: hide thyself as it were for a little moment, until the indignation be overpast.

Here we get a glimpse of another event coming for the Son and Daughters of God

Revelations 19:6-9

The Wedding Supper of the Lamb

6 And I heard, as it were, the voice of a great multitude, as the sound of many waters and as the sound of mighty thunderings, saying, “Alleluia! For the Lord God Omnipotent reigns!

7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.”

8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

9 Then he said to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!’”

Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of

God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

Revelations 20:5 KJV

This is that Blessed hope..

We shall be changed….

We shall be caught up to meet him….

There will be a new heaven and a new earth..

Sin will be judged…

Satan will be bound…

And of his kingdom there will be no end…

52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.”

1 Cor 15:52-54

Matthew 22:1-14

The Parable of the Wedding Garment

And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen

is the righteous acts of the saints.

Revelations 19:8

1 And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

2 The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,

3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.

4 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.

5 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.

7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.

9 Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.

10 So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.

11 And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:

12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.

13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Do you have that Blessed Hope?

Do you have the Wedding Garment on?
