vacationers eat all their food

while eating out, regardless of

portion size.  And because they

are on vacation, they don't pay

attention to what is on the

menu, choosing higher-fat and

higher-calorie selections.

now more popular then ever in

table-service restaurants.  And if

something is not on the menu,

don't be afraid to ask for it.

Otherwise, what's the point of

going on vacation?  This is

your time to treat your self and

sample the cuisine.  But don't

forget the key word,

"moderation."  

Walking is Your Best FriendOf course, who wants to leave

that fantastic meal unfinished,

added with a chocolate desert

and a nice glass of

Chardonnay?  But walking

before you dine out boosts your

digestive metabolism, as well as

taking a brisk walk right before

breakfast.

Have One Treat  Every Day

It 's all about moderation.  If

you know you can have a treat

everyday on vacation, you

won't splurge all at one-time,

then turn that into an excuse of

why you can't have a treat the

next day.

Make Healthier Menu ChoicesEspecially at fast-food places...

Instead of french fries why not a

side salad to go with that

cheeseburger?  Then pick a

dressing you like most.  And

when it comes to vegetables,

choose what you want.

If you know what's in it, then

you will be craving it

regardless of sugar, salt, or

alcohol content.  Sometimes

the best thing to do is give

someone else the key before

you look inside the bar or

fridge. 

Water is Your FriendNot only does water keep you

hydrated while on that awesome

adventure, drinking a glass of

water right before a meal will

help you eat not as much.  So

take a bottle of water with you

everywhere you go.

Eating fresh fruits and

vegetables increases your

vitality and energy.  And eating

an apple gives you more

energy then eating a cup of

coffee.  Of course, having a

fresh cup of coffee in the

morning is not all that bad.  But

beware of hard caffeine

crashes and supplement your

energy with fresh food. 

Eat When You're HungryYour body is sending you a

signal that if it doesn't get

something to eat, then your

mood will change from positive

to negative.  And nobody likes to

be around a grouchy vacationer.

 So don't ignore the most

important reason why you are on

vacation, that's YOU.
