Cleaning of Parochira ‐Chathanamchira Thodu by WAPCOS Cochin Unit  

Parochira ‐Chathanamchira Drain is located at Thuthiyur, Kakkanad, Thrikkakkara Municipality, ward number 20. Parochira  ‐ Chathanamchira carries  the  flood water  from around 100 acres of  land  in Cochin Special Economic Zone and the nearby areas to Chithrapuzha River and ultimately to the back waters of Cochin. Parochira ‐Chathanamchira Drain is now covered with vegetation and solid waste and  also  the  drain  bed  is  silted  up.  This  has  become  a  hygiene  issues  to  the  thickly  populated residents in and around the drain in Thuthiyur
