1 Elizabethtown and Salisbury have only met five times on the hardwood prior to tonight’s non-conference matchup. E-town leads the all-time series, 3-2, that began in 1981-82. In the most recent meeting, in 2003, the Sea Gulls beat the Blue Jays, 77-69.
2 After a 4-1 start, E-town is coming into the game having lost their last two games. The Jays dropped a thriller in Bethlehem to Moravian, 93-92, in the Landmark Conference opener for both schools. Veronica Christ recorded a career-high 24 points in the loss.
On Tuesday, Marissa Emlet had 16 points and a career-high 15 rebounds at Cabrini in a 75-65 loss. Lydia Lawson added 16 and Mikayla Ruth went for 13 points with a team-high two threes.
3 Salisbury trailed by a point entering the fourth quarter of their day-two game against Gwynedd Mercy at the Griffins’ home tournament in mid-November. The Sea Gulls outscored the host school by eight in the final period to win the tournament crown, 71-64. Salisbury defeated Albright a day earlier. Kylie Webb was named the tournament MVP and Jada Welbon was named to the All-Tournament team.
The Gulls dropped their first home contest of the season this past Wednesday. Catholic outscored Salisbury in each quarter and won by 14, 61-47, to drop SU to 5-2. Courtney Brigham led the maroon and gold with 9 points.
4 The Elizabethtown College women’s basketball team would like to welcome the Donegal 6th Grade Girls Travel Team to tonight’s game and thank them for their support.
5 The Blue Jays will have a week off before returning to action next Saturday, December 15, at Marywood. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m.
