YOUR PREVIOUS YEARS AGENDA It’s very important that in your life you analyse what you have promised in the past. If you feel whatever you promised was delivered that is the indication success. But if you keep forgetting your promises and there is no outcome you need serious advice on what has to be done.
YOUR WEAKNESSIf you find during the journey your weakness and you have the ability to overcome the weakness you must be proud of yourself, but if you don’t know your weakness then find a way to find your weakness.
YOUR SUCCESS STORYWhen you got success, please do not forget because that success story is running in your blood, which kills all the unsuccessful viruses. I will advise if you have gotten success, please share as much as you can.
YOUR ASSETAll ways think about what you had in the beginning of the year and what have in the end. If you feel that your quality of life is much better now than that indicates your acid graph is increasing.
YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH PEOPLE Your success is not just your personality you have to judge yourself in what relationships you before and what relationships you have now. If you feel that others recognize you relations this means that you are moving towards success.
YOUR HEALTHYour health is not just the money, your health plays a major role towards success if you have mental exercise and physical exercises and compare yourself from the beginning of the year to the end and you realize that you are getting mentally and physically healthy that means you are moving towards the path of success.
CURRENT YEAR AGENDA When I was writing this article it was January 1st 2016. I had to analyse what I missed in 2015 and had to make sure I could get it done in 2016 and also whatever weakness I had, I would make sure I would remove that weakness and to fulfil my agenda plan for 2016.
CHALLENGES If you really want to be successful you have to maintain the list of what challenges you are going to face in the future and what road map you are going to take to minimize these challenges.
By Mansoor NaqviLife is on going and we always promise
in this special occasion that we will fix
our self accordingly but when time
passes we all forget. Just think about
everyday when we are talking to our
friends and when we lie after a few times
we realize we should not lie and we
promise that we will not do it again. Or if
somebody were to get into an accident
or get a ticket because of careless
driving. The driver always says I will not
do it again. Do you know one thing I
want to share that you want to
determine your spark towards success,
In my experience if you feel in every
mistake and you try to fix it, it means
that you are working towards success
but if do mistakes and never realize it
means you are remaining at the same
place where to you started. Today I am
talking with my friends and said those
who make mistakes and realize them.
Just think about that every December
31st we are so excited to enter into new
years and we make an agenda in what
we want to do in the upcoming year. If
you want to maintain that sprit please
follow the following points.
1.YOUR PREVIOUS YEARS AGENDA
2.YOUR WEAKNESS
3.YOUR SUCCESS STORY
4.YOUR ASSET
5.YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH PEOPLE
6.YOUR HEALTH
7.CURRENT YEAR AGENDA
8.CHALLENGES My message to you today is, when you promise something you must know how to deliver it and do not make any agenda if you can’t achieve
it. That is the secret of success.

The best advice I can give anyone is that if you are a positive person then do not associate yourself with negative people. It does not matter if you are a student, employee or businessmen the best way to become successful is by surrounding yourself with positivity. Like-minded people such as yourself to help you don't only realize your own potential, but their positivity to help you move forward instead of backwards.
Identifying those positive people in your social and business circle is crucial. Be upfront with the people that surround you and let them know if you don't appreciate their opinions and views. The reaction you will get from people by being honest towards them will help you gage whether the person is positive or negative. Whenever you are trying to identify what kind of person a man or woman is you must have a humble and open-minded approach. You cannot be too
quick to judge, but once you have identified a person as being negative, then you should not waste your time on them any further.
The importance of being surrounded by positivity and positive people is perhaps most important in a work environment. A positive work environment will always a good energy that will motivate workers and will inevitably yield better results. A leader's role in such an environment is very important also because if the leader is not positive, then his or her negativity trickle down to those workingunder them.
A positive attitude will only help better the quality of your overall life. Positive minded people not only have more friends and happiness, but positivity also helps tackle the stress that is brought about by work and daily responsibilities.
IN CONCLUSION,THE KEY TO SUCCESS
IN YOUR PERSONAL
AND WORK LIFE IS BY
ALWAYS BEING
POSITIVE AND
MOTIVATED AND
STAYING AWAY FROM
THOSE NEGATIVE
PEOPLE THAT WILL
BRING YOU DOWN.

Valentine'sDay In CanadaValentine'sDay In Canada
PUBLIC LIFEValentine's Day is not a public holiday. Schools, businesses, organizations, post offices and stores are open as usual. Public transport services run to their usual timetables. Restaurants and hotels may be busy as many people take out their partner for a romantic meal or a night away in a hotel.
BACKGROUNDThe origins of Valentine's Day are not clear. It is thought that there were a number of local fertility festivals in Europe in pre-Christian times. These were often in the middle of February. Many people also thought that birds chose their mates at this time of year. Around the year 1380, the English poet Chaucer wrote a poem for the first anniversary of the engagement of King Richard II to Anne of Bohemia. This is thought to be the first association between celebrations of romantic love and St Valentine's Day on February 14. The connection remained important throughout themiddle ages.
In the mid-19th century, there was an increase in interest in Valentine's Day, first in the United States, then in Canada. It was promoted by manufacturers of paper lace and cards as a means of increasing their sales. Gradually, this date was seen as an occasion for a man to present gifts to a woman with whom he had or would like to have had a romantic relationship. It was also customary for lovers to exchange handwritten notes. These have now largely been replaced by commerciallyproduced cards.
SYMBOLSThe most common symbols of Valentine's Day are heart shapes, which are used to decorate many things, including cards, trees, wrapping paper, cookies and gift boxes. Other symbols associated with February 14 are pairs of birds, cute teddy bears, Cupid and his arrows and couples kissing or embracing. The colors red and pink are often associated withValentine's Day.
Valentine's Day is an opportunity for people in Canada to tell somebody that they love them in a romantic way. It falls on February 14, the name day of two saints, St Valentine of Rome and St Valentine of Terni. In pre-Christian times, the middle of February was a time of pagan fertility festivals in Europe and allegedly the time when birds chose a mate.
WHAT DO PEOPLE DO?Many people send letters, cards, presents and gifts to the person with whom they have or want to have a romantic relationship. Valentine's Day cards are often red or pink and decorated with images of hearts, red roses, teddy bears, presents or happy couples kissing or embracing. They may be in brightly coloured, perhaps pink or red, envelopes.
Many people give gifts to loved ones on Valentine's Day. Common gifts are:
Some people celebrate Valentine's Day lavishly. They may treat their partner to a themed meal in a restaurant or a night in a luxury hotel. Others may take short breaks or vacations on Valentine’s Day.
Valentine's Day can also be an occasion for a more general celebration of love and appreciation of people who are personally important to an individual. School children may help decorate their classrooms with hearts and spring birds and make cards or presents for their parents. Stores may also sell Valentine's Day themed cakes, cookies or candy. Teenagers and young adults may hold Valentine's Day parties or dances on or near February 14.

All three major indexes extended losses on Friday, falling more than 1.5 percent, and were on track for their worst weekly performance in a month as growing oversupply
concerns dragged down crude oil prices to their 7-year lows.
The International Energy Agency said it sees the oil glut worsening in 2016 as demand slows and OPEC shows no signs of slowing production. The steep drop in oil prices adds to investor uncertainty as the U.S. Federal Reserve prepares to raise interest rates for the first time since June 2006 at its meeting next week.
The CBOE volatility index (.VIX 9.29%), known as Wall Street's "fear gauge", was up 19.5 percent at 23.10, its highest level since early October. Adding to the somber mood, China's yuan fell to its lowest in 4-1/2 years on concerns about the country's slowing economy and expectations of a U.S. rate hike.
Global shares were lower amid concerns that weakness in the Chinese currency could weigh on the global economy and on companies with strong export ties to China.
"About 10 percent of the S&P 500 is energy and commodity related, and it is a barometer for global economy. When you see such a plunge, it worries investors," said Art Hogan, chief market strategist at Wunderlich Securities in New York.
"Until the oil market finds a support level, the market will remain unsettled."
Tracking oil prices, the S&P energy index (.SPNY 0.00%) was down 3.2 percent, leading the decliners among major S&P sectors. The index has lost more than 10 percent since the beginning of the month.
At 12:23 p.m. ET the Dow Jones industrial average (.DJI -2.1%) was down 289.43 points, or 1.65 percent, at 17,285.32, with all its components in the red.
The S&P 500 (.SPX -1.78%) was down 35.74 points, or 1.74 percent, at 2,016.49 and the Nasdaq Composite (.IXIC 0.00%) was down 99.26 points, or 1.97 percent, at 4,945.91.
The materials index (.SPLRCM -1.31%) was down 2.3
percent, weighed down by DuPont and Dow.
DuPont shares (DD.N -2.81%)
were down 5.4 percent
at $70.51,
after the company agreed to merge with Dow Chemical (DOW.N -1.23%) in a deal valuing the combined entity at $130 billion. Dow was down 3.4 percent at $53.01.
Investors are also awaiting the outcome of the Fed meeting on Dec. 15-16.
Fed fund futures place an 85 percent chance of a rate hike. A recent Reuters poll also showed that all but one of 18 brokerages that deal directly with the central bank expect a rate increase.
"If the Fed does not move next week, it is basically saying that the recovery is not strong enough, said Randy Frederick, managing director of trading and derivatives for Charles Schwab in Austin, Texas."It will definitely be a negative factor for the market."
Declining issues outnumbered advancing ones on the NYSE by 2,615 to 395. On the Nasdaq, 2,259 issues fell and 462 advanced.
The S&P 500 index showed 1 new 52-week high and 36 new lows, while the Nasdaq recorded 10 new highs and 132 new lows.
DEC11
Jetblue Airways (JBLU.O -0.84%) was down 6.7 percent at $23.75 after the airline operator said it expected flight sales as measured against capacity to fall in the fourth quarter from a year earlier.

NFC is now a household feature - but what can you do with it?Have you ever wondered what makes tap-and-go services like Apple Pay, Google Wallet and Amiibo work? As much as it seems like pure magic, it isn't.
So what is it exactly? Simply put, it's a method of wireless data transfer that detects and then enables technology in close proximity to communicate without the need for an internet connection. It's easy, fast and works automatically.
How does NFC work? The tech involved is deceptively simple. Evolved from radio frequency identification (RFID) tech, an NFC chip operates as one part of a wireless link. Once it's activated by another chip, small amounts of data between the two devices can be transferred when held a few centimetres from each other.
"Near field communicationis fastand easy"
Everythingyouneedtoknow
By Cameron Faulkner
No pairing code is necessary to link up and because it uses chips that run on very low amounts of power (or passively, using even less), it's much more power- efficient than other wireless communication types.
At its core, NFC works to identify us by our enabled cards and devices (and by extension, our bank accounts and other personal info.)
How can I use NFC right now?NFC chips stocked in credit cards for contactless payments is nothing new. But a more recent and admittedly more enticing use case for NFC is with your smartphone, which can digitize your entire wallet.
Allows Android users to pay via NFC
Virtually every mobile OS maker has their own apps that offer unique NFC functionality. Android users have the widest variety to choose from. First off, US users can nab Google Wallet, which accesses your funds for contactless payments. Samsung Pay, which operates similarly, is on the way for Samsung phone users in the US and Korea this Summer.
However, a feature that all Android owners have been able to enjoy is called Android Beam. It was implemented in Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0 as a nifty, simple process that allows for the transfer of photos, contacts and directions that works by holding two phones together.
Apple's iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus received NFC functionality, albeit with limited use so far, only for Apple Pay. It's a lot like Google Wallet, in that it's an app which gives users the ability to pay for goods and services at participating retailers. Lastly, those who prefer Microsoft's Windows Phone will be able to use Microsoft Payments when it launches likely around the launch of Windows 10.
Whichever device you have, it's likely that a local supermarket, train station, taxi or coffee shop supports contactless payments via your phone's NFC chip. Go try it out! Simply hold it close to a contactless payment terminal and instantly, like swiping a credit card, the payment will complete.
Looking toward the future, it's possible that NFC chips could be used to replace every card in your wallet. That means the unique info on your frequent shopper loyalty cards, library card, business cards and the like could be contained and transmitted simply via NFC.
Business Data ProtectionYou'll probably also be in good shape if you've bought a tablet recently. The Google Nexus 9, iPad Mini 3 and iPad Air 2 each have the capability out of the box.
Looking forward, NFC chips will also be in more smart watches
and fitness trackers. Apple is including NFC support in its Apple Watch so that users can pay for goodies using Apple Pay with a tap of the wrist.
No pairing code is necessary to link up and because it uses chips that run on very low amounts of power (or passively, using even less), it's much more power-efficient than other wireless communication types.
12
At its core, NFC works to identify us by our enabled cards and devices (and by extension, our bank accounts and other personal info.)
The Sony Smart Watch 3 is among the first smart watches with NFC.On the Android side of things, Sony has also done the same with its Sony Smart Watch 3 wearable, which offers similar implementation using Android Wear, plus a few fun features, like tapping a phone to the watch to power it on.
Vulnerability and securityThe magic of NFC occurs in the free and open air, so it's easy to get wrapped up in the idea that your data can be nabbed by anyone who tries to intercept. It can really happen, but it doesn't have to happen to you.
Let's first tackle this scary
issue with the point that NFC
chips in your cards or phones can't be skimmed unless they are within mere centimetres of a potential thief. That's just the way the technology works. I don't know about you, but there aren't that many things that get close to me.
There are skeezers out there who try to ruin it for everyone with NFC skimming apps that rip your personal information, including your address and account details. But they are having an increasingly tough time with
that goal, as apps like Apple Pay and Google Wallet are implementing some clever safeguards to protect users.
According to Apple, their commerce app, Apple Pay, stores payment information on the device exclusively, encrypting the card information only for use by the merchant and payment network for verification. The information does not live in the cloud, nor does it live in the iOS source
code. Lose your phone? You can erase your precious financial deets manually using the "Find my iPhone" feature.
Google utilizes SSL (secure socket layer) technology to protect your financial
information on Google Wallet. They recommend a more
practical approach in making sure your details stay safe: use a passcode on your phone. Additionally, on Google's Wallet FAQ, it states that the NFC antennae in
Android phones are only activated when the screen is both
on and unlocked.
If you're using a credit or debit card with NFC capabilities, your best bet for protecting yourself is by getting
a sleeve to go over your card. These deflect radio frequencies to attracting the attention of your card's NFC chip. If you're short on cash, word is Altoid tins apparently do the job on the cheap. It'll also leave your cards smelling fresh, but use this option as a last resort.

Even businesses with healthy growth and strong sales run the risk of owing more than they can pay in a given month. Fortunately, spending some time preparing a cash flow projection can help you identify potential cash shortfalls in 2016. To keep your projections on track, create a rolling 12-month plan that you can update at the end of each month. Look for ways to reduce expenses and increase revenues. Is it time to shop for new suppliers and vendors? Or is it time to boost your prices a bit? Once you’ve gotten into the habit of using a cash-flow projection, it should give you added control over your cash flow and a clearer picture of your company’s financial health.

DIFFERENT TYPESOF BANKRUPTCYIN CANADA
By David Sklar
TYPES OF BANKRUPTCY IN CANADAWithin bankruptcy there are two main types of bankruptcy. One covers business bankruptcy and personal bankruptcy and the other covers personal bankruptcy only.
PERSONAL BANKRUPTCYIt’s important to know how bankruptcy works and also to find out all of the options that are available for you. When you go to meet with your Trustee, your financial information will be reviewed to help determine which avenue is the best for you.
SMALL BUSINESS BANKRUPTCYIf a business is working under sole proprietorship or as a partnership, then the business bankruptcy is essentially treated as a personal bankruptcy. In the case of sole a proprietorship or partnership, the people are acting as the business, and their personal assets do not separated from their business assets.
INCORPORATED BUSINES FILING BANKRUPTCYIf the company in question is an incorporated business, then the assets and the business are their own entity. Having a business incorporated helps to protect the personal assets from the business creditors.
CORPORATE BANKRUPTCYIf your corporation is having financial difficulties, the earlier that you make an appointment to meet with a Trustee, the more options there may be to deal with your case. We can review all the options available to help see what the best solution is and possibly avoid a bankruptcy.
BANKRUPTCY PROTECTION AND INSOLVENCYWhile the term Bankruptcy Protection is a U.S. term, it is referring to when a business/company is declared insolvent. Insolvency is the failure of a business or an individual or to pay their debts when they are due. In the case of a business-it can also occur if the total value of debts is larger than the total value of the assets.

In this blog series I will be sharing with you how Phil Sopher, President and CEO, Royal LePage Canada, views the future of the Real Estate business.
Back in 1967, when Canada was celebrating its centennial, the periodical Industrial Canada compiled a list of the 119 companies that had survived the nation’s first 100 years. While predictably, many on that 1967 list have now faded away, a subset of those firms continues to this day; companies that have proven their adaptability and propensity for reinvention.
Perhaps Canada’s most celebrated commercial venture, The Hudson’s Bay Co., was established in 1668 and has the distinction of being the world’s oldest retailer. Imagine if the original leadership, a group of English noblemen and merchants, were to see the recently rebranded “Hudson’s Bay Co.” today? A company that was thriving before the invention of the automobile, electricity and zipper, let alone global, wireless networking.
Beyond Canadian borders are wonderful examples of companies who have reinvented themselves in the face of new competition and ever-evolving market conditions. General Electric, the oldest company in the Dow Jones index, has built fortunes on reinvention. My previous employer, IBM founded in 1911 to produce commercial scales and mechanical tabulators. The firm evolved to define the information age and has, for two decades, led the world in winning new patent registrations. Nokia, founded in 1865, started as a Finnish paper mill, rubber and cable works company. They evolved into the world’s largest mobile phone company, a position they held from the late 1990’s until very recently. In the face of increasing competition, Nokia’s mobile phone revenue plummeted 40 per cent in the second quarter of 2013. They must reinvent themselves once more or face extinction.

The more I receive paper mail, especially financial documents and bills, the more it seems like an antiquated way of doing things. Nearly every statement I receive prominently advertises an option to sign up for electronic delivery and payment, and many organizations charge extra to send a paper invoice or offer a discount for opting out of paper.
“Snail mail,” as traditional postage has come to be known, has been in decline for years-in fact, Canada Post’s much-publicized move to cut costs by phasing out door-to-door service in favour of community mailboxes is in direct response to market trends. In 2006, Canada Post delivered about 5 billion pieces of domestic letter mail, dropping to nearly 4 billion in 2012. Of that decline, 30% occurred in 2012 alone.
Meanwhile, Canada Post’s online epost™ service has proven to be popular among Canadians, offering one place, one login, and one password to manage their household bills and essential documents. Across the country, over 9 million individuals and counting have registered to epost to receive over 300 types of documents from more than 28,000 companies. epost is more convenient, more accessible and easier to manage than paper, and-most importantly-it is free to the individual consumer.
Introducing eDeliveryOur industry is already well familiar with CSIO eDocs-the data standard
enables a direct electronic transfer of policy documents from insurers to a broker’s BMS, eliminating the cost and effort of printing, mailing, sorting, scanning, filing and destroying paper documents. Since its debut in 2012,
eDocs has soared to 80% adoption among brokers for personal lines, and its expansion into commercial lines is well under way.
eDocs, then, would seem to be the perfect technology to use when sending policies without paper to insureds-which is why I am pleased to say that on June 22, 2015, CSIO announced a partnership with epost to do exactly that. Our new eDelivery solution is an industry-standard integration between CSIOnet and epost to send personal lines policy documents customers’ mailboxes.
Once implemented, members who currently send policy documents by mail will be able to offer electronic delivery to insureds registered to
epost, providing superior customer service and reducing the operational costs of postage and manual processing.
In addition, the eDelivery solution provides members a streamlined setup process with epost, reducing the cost and effort of implementation.
The broker channel has made enormous strides in providing an integrated customer experience to improve its competitive position in recent years, and eDelivery is one more step along that journey. This is an exciting time for our industry, and I look forward to what the future has in store.

R E C O G N I T I O NCAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
otivation is one of the foremost tool used by top leading industries to improve the work productivity of their employees. It does not
include monetary uplifts only, but praising and recognizing the efforts can also be a useful element, sometimes even works far more than monetary rewards. Its significance can be figured out as whenever or wherever this essential tool is subtracted, then the work efficiency and productivity can be easily observed in declining phase.
In this regards, one of the great wise men of all times “Lord Elya” says:
“Praise your employees and make them disciplined on the basis of their abilities. Praise and value their true efforts openly. Because praising and recognizing one’s efforts motivate them to perform more efficiently while it also motivates the slacker and lazy being towards the work and responsibility.”Recognizing and praising can be done by several ways. Fulfilling the basic needs (biological and physiological needs) of the employee can be an impacting and an enhancing element of recognizing the efforts of the employee. It works effectively and moves the motivational level upwards. Ensuring the job security will also be a recognizing factors that bring the motivation level up and increase the productivity of an individual.
Also, it is the art of a good manager that he becomes an inspiration for his employees as they aim themselves to work harder and reach the stage where they will be managing the field the same way their manager is doing currently. The manager should be a mentor instead of being the strict boss. As he should be able to build up the confidence of his every individual sub-ordinate like a father does. Nurturing the professional personality, coaching the ways and tactics to finish up the tasks in an efficient manner even in the conditions of increased work pressure.
World renowned theorist, Frederick Herzberg, who is considered by many to be a pioneer in motivation studies indicated many factors that become the motivational significant tools in which one is ‘Working conditions’ and the other one is ‘Recognition’.
WORKING CONDITIONS:The environment in which people work has a tremendous effect on their level of pride for themselves and for the work they are doing. Do everything you can to keep your equipment and facilities up to date. Even a nice chair can make a world of difference to an individual's psyche. Also, if possible, avoid overcrowding and allow each employee his or her own personal space, whether it be a desk, a locker, or
even just a drawer. If you've placed your employees in close quarters with little or no personal space, don't be surprised that there is tension among them.
Before you move on to the motivators, remember that you cannot neglect the hygiene factors as well. To do so would be asking for trouble in more than one way. First, your employees would be generally unhappy, and this would be apparent to your patients. Second, your hardworking employees, who can find jobs elsewhere, would leave, while your mediocre employees would stay and compromise your practice's success. So deal with hygiene issues first, then move on to the other motivators.
RECOGNITION:Individuals at all levels of the organization want to be recognized for their achievements on the job. Their successes don't have to be monumental before they deserve recognition, but your praise should be sincere. Praise the deserving staff and try not to give credit to anyone else instead of giving to the right deserving person otherwise it will down the moral of the deserving staff. If you notice employees doing something well, take the time to acknowledge their good work immediately. Publicly thank them for handling a situation, particularly well. Write them a kind note of praise. Or give them a bonus, if appropriate. You may even want to establish a formal recognition program, such as “employee of the month.”

Secret to GettingEVERYTHING YOU
WANT IN LIFE BY | ERUM ASGHAR
True success is truly measured by what you have left when you go to the grave. For the living, the quest to succeed is an ongoing process for nothing in human life is ever utterly perfectly complete until nothing more can be done. This is because to my success means achieving the best results possible to my satisfaction having exploited my potential in whatever area of my considered utmost and therefore being able to move to a new area for nothing more can be done in the old.
Too many success are measured in terms of monetary wealth. That is, achieving financial independence and prosperity. But I feel that success should encompass the following areas;
HAPPINESS IN FAMILY LIFE AND IN MARRIAGE FOR THE MARRIED PEOPLE
HAVING A HEALTH RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD ALMIGHTY AND CONFIDENCE OF ETERNAL LIFE
HAPPINESS OR SATISFACTION IN THE OCCUPATION OR VOCATION ONE MAY HAVE.
RICH IN RESPECT FROM ONE'S FRIENDS AND OTHER RELATIONSHIPS SUCH AS FROM WORKMATES OR WORKERS AS THE CASE MAY BE.
Therefore, I feel that financial prosperity without the aspects mentioned above does not necessarily mean one is successful.
If anything, it means that one is just wealthy, but one's successful life is not complete.
On the other hand, it is possible to have a successful life without being wealthy.
Success is a hidden power placed in the human spirit. Many people struggle today not because God wants them to be that way. The reason is, they still have less knowledge concerning God’s purpose for them. The human spirit has all the answers to all our struggles.

BY | www.cmha.caMental health means striking a balance in
all aspects of your life: social, physical, spiritual, economic and mental. Reaching a balance is a learning process. At times, you
may tip the balance too much in one direction and have to find your footing
again. Your personal balance will be unique, and your challenge will be to stay mentally healthy by keeping that balance.
CHILDREN, YOUTH, AND DEPRESSIONWhile we may think of low mood or other challenges as adult problems, they can affect people at any age. Children and teens can experience mental illnesses like depression. Sometimes it can be difficult for adults to understand how difficult children’s problems can be because we look at their problems through adult eyes. But the pressures of growing up can be very hard for some children. It’s important that we remind ourselves that while their problems may seem unimportant to us, they can feel overwhelming to young people. It’s important to take depression in young people seriously.

FEELING ANGRYWe all feel angry sometimes. Most of the time, we can deal with feelings of anger or irritability quickly. We may resolve the situation or look at the problem from a different perspective. However, anger can cause problems in our lives and the lives of those around us. Learn more about recognizing problem anger and taking action.
GRIEVINGLoss is one of life’s most stressful events. It takes time to heal, and everyone responds differently. We may need help to cope with the changes in our lives. Grief is part of being human, but that doesn’t mean we have to go through the journey alone.
MENTAL FITNESS TIPSThink about your emotional well-being. Assess your emotional health regularly. Consider the particular demands or stresses you are facing and how they are affecting you. Give yourself permission to take a break from your worries and concerns. Recognize that dedicating even a short time every day to your mental fitness will reap significant benefits in terms of feeling rejuvenated and more confident.
MENTAL HEALTH METERAssessing our mental health is not as simple to do as measuring our physical health. There are no scales or endurance tests that rate mental fitness. But with the help of the Canadian Mental Health Association’s Mental Health Meter, you can reflect on your unique strengths and identify areas where your level of mental fitness could be improved to help you cope with all of life’s up and downs.
MENTAL ILLNESS IN THE WORKPLACEFor people experiencing a mental illness, a good work/life balance is critical. The relationship between stress and mental illness is complex, but
certainly stress can exacerbate mental illness for some people. In fact, according to Statistics Canada, employees who considered most of their day to be quite a bit or extremely stressful were over 3 times more likely to suffer a major depressive episode, compared with those who reported low levels of general stress.
MENTAL ILLNESSES IN THE WORKPLACEWork is important to our well-being. In addition to the income it brings, it can be a big part of our identity, how we understand our skills, and a way to contribute to something bigger. However, a mental illness can have a big impact on the way we work.
SEPARATION AND DIVORCESome marriages end suddenly while others seem to fall apart over a long period of time. No matter what the cause, if your marriage fails, you are likely to feel a whole range of intense emotions: sadness, anger, hurt, fear of an uncertain future, loneliness, confusion over the many decisions you must make, and a sense of failure at your lost plans and dreams.
STRESSWe all talk about stress, but we’re not always clear about what it is. Stress comes from both the good and the bad things that happen to us. If we didn’t feel any stress, we wouldn’t be alive! Stress may feel overwhelming at times, but there are many strategies to help you take control.
WHAT'S YOUR STRESS INDEX?Stress can be difficult to understand. The emotional chaos it causes can make our daily lives miserable. It can also decrease our physical health, sometimes drastically. Strangely, we are not always aware that we are under stress. The habits, attitudes, and signs that can alert us to problems may be hard to recognize because they have become so familiar.
