Te District holds public meetings everyfourth Wednesday, 7:00 pm at the deKovenHouse Community Center, 27 WashingtonStreet in Middletown. All programs andservices are ofered on a nondiscriminatorybasis withoutregard to race, color, nationalorigin, religion, sex, age, marital status orhandicap.

Natural resource proessionals rom the DEEP,CT Sea Grant, US Fish and Wildlie Service andthe District continued gathering feld data atBartholomew Preserve in Old Lyme or a coastalhabitat management planning project.
This rain barrel and accompanying eye-catchingsign were installed at Kidcity in Middletown aspart o our Rockall Foundation unded projectto promote rain barrels as easy to use greenpractices to conserve water and watersheds.
Bank stabilization concerns brought sta to thePattaconk Yacht Club on the Connecticut Riverin Chester to evaluate whether relocating riprapand stones currently stabilizing the bank, butplaced below the high tide line, would causenegative impacts to the river.
Drawn to the tray o soil at the Middletown KidsHealth & Saety Fair, kids engaged in a treasurehunt or critters important to healthy soil. Thetake-home message rom Project Green Lawn?Lawn pesticides and herbicides can kill thesebenefcial critters that help plants grow.
