Advisory Committee to City Council

Provide comment and advice to City Council on strategies and policies that affect the development and delivery of parking services in downtown.

To consider the community’s interests regarding parking in Downtown Burlington and assist Council in addressing those concerns

**To build and maintain a sustainable parking system in downtown Burlington that is responsive to the needs of our unique community of business**

NEW Parking Machines installed Spring 2016• Replaced unpopular parking meters • Continue with 20 minute FREE courtesy time• Expand payment options to credit cards • Add time to parking purchases remotely• “Pay-By-Plate” = park throughout downtown with remaining time available

Monday-Friday Jan. 1 to Nov. 30

Saturday, Sunday, Holidays, Dec. 1-31

Free parking (3-hour limit) with valid: Accessible parking permit City-issued veteran permit or veteran plates

NEW PARKING MACHINE UPDATES

• Enhanced screen visibility

• FASTER connection to complete transaction and print the slip quicker

• Pay slip will print the ‘expired time’ rather than the number of minutes purchased

• Pay slip will print new wording ‘20 extra free minutes will be added to expiry time’

• Pay slip will have this wording removed ‘display this side up on dashboard’
