Senior Check Out Procedure❏ Seminole Ridge Student ID or your Driver’s License required.❏ Stay in gym until finished then leave campus immediately. Not a time to
visit.❏ When you walk in you will take a number and have a seat.❏ When your number is called, you will take your number and ID to first
table to start the check-out process. ❏ Proceed from one table to the next. You must be signed off at table 1 to
go to table 2 and so on. ❏ TICKETS WILL BE THE LAST TABLE! Turn in your signed Senior Check-Out
Pledge to receive tickets and sign stating that you received your tickets.

Obligations usually take the longest so we will set up an electronic process for you to clear these up prior to
Senior Check Out.

× Check SIS. Go to Billing → Fees & Payments for any SIS non-Media Obligations.× Media obligations (books, replacement ID’s, chromebooks, laptops, and textbooks).
Look for an email from Lora Weber. Reply to that email with questions.× Pay your obligations ASAP! Cash, checks, or School Cash Online. Email
Rocio.Soucy@palmbeachschools.org to have your obligation added to School Cash Online.
× You will not receive your cap/gown or graduation tickets if you have an obligation.× Keep receipts for dual enrollment textbooks× Return devices or textbooks as you are finished using them any day prior to June 8
in the Media Center. × Virtual students can return devices, media center books and textbooks on June 9
from 8:30-11 a.m. to the Main Office.× All obligations must be cleared by check out on June 10-11 or you will not be allowed
to walk.

× Only those being recognized (award/scholarship) will be invited. No guests due to limited capacity.

× Senior Superlatives will be recognized.× *NEW* “Mr. & Mrs. Seminole Ridge” will be
crowned.× This is a formal awards assembly. Please dress
appropriately (dress, dress pants, dressy pant suit or dressy skirt. Ties and jackets are optional).
× Event will be livestreamed for parents and friends.

Graduation Ceremony Behavior★ This is an important day for you and your family.★ We will have a dignified, respectful ceremony.★ We cannot toss our caps or any other items.★ Diploma

Graduation Ceremony× Ceremony Participation survey: https://forms.gle/QBw4PgqD3a63yYxu5× Arrive at the SF Fairgrounds Expo Center no later than 6:45 a.m. You may not walk if
you are late. × You must have attended the MANDATORY SENIOR CHECK-OUT.× Doors open at 7 AM for guests and close for the processional at 7:45 a.m. Tell your
parents and guests!× All guests will pass through a metal detector and bag search. Clear bags are
preferred, but we encourage guests to leave bags in the car to expedite the entry process.
× There is no place for students participating in the graduation ceremony to secure valuables (purses, cameras, etc.). Leave those items with your guests.

Tickets
× Seating will be in pods of 2.× Each graduate gets 2 tickets.× Ceremony Participation survey is
crucial.

General Information× Take pictures before you come to the ceremony. Your gown is a rental and
will be turned in immediately after graduation. You will keep your cap.× Plenty of parking will be available.× Smoking is prohibited in the South Florida Fairgrounds Expo Center.× Outside food and beverages are NOT permitted. There will be no
concession available. × Flower deliveries will not be accepted.× Balloons and signs are NOT permitted in the Expo Center.× Air horns, whistles or other noisemakers are prohibited. Guests with
noisemakers will be escorted out of the expo center.

Graduation Dress Guidelines× Seminole Ridge masks for everyone.× A red Seminole Ridge cap & gown from Herff Jones are required. × Tassels are worn on the right side of the cap.× NO GUM CHEWING!!!!× CAPS SHOULD BE WORN SO THAT THEY ARE FLAT ON TOP. × Avoid heavy clothing. It can get warm in a gown.× Conservative jewelry may be worn. No neck jewelry may be worn
outside of the gown× Only SR approved cords and stoles may be worn.× Good grooming is desirable and expected!

Graduation Dress Code❖ Semi-formal attire is REQUIRED. That includes:
➢ Dresses (they SHOULD NOT fall below the hem of the gown)➢ Shirt and tie (no jacket required): Wear a light colored button down
shirt (no polo/golf type shirts)➢ Black, dark brown or navy blue slacks. No jeans or khakis!➢ Shoes should be one of the following colors: black, dark brown, navy
blue, silver, or nude ➢ NO CASUAL-TYPE SANDALS! Closed toe shoes are best, but dressy
sandals are okay. NO SNEAKERS or casual docksider type shoes. Dress boots are okay if they are the correct color. Remember that you are walking in front of everyone, and you don’t want to be unsteady on your feet!
