EWM 1000Spare Part Circuit Boards

Ø Configuration file contains machine ident- ification, hence is different each PNC/ELC

Ø A CB configured for another PNC/ELC can’t be used for replacement !

Ø At the present stage, CBs are not config- urable in field service

Ø CBs ordered for a specific PNC/ELC will be configured prior to delivery by the spares warehouse, or, in a next phase, by the service centre

Inputs & sensors

The electronic control accepts inputs from :

Ø user interface (rotary selectors & pushbuttons)

Ø door lock

Ø pressure switches with 2 or 3 levels

Ø NTC sensor

Ø tachogenerator

ØDSP reed switch on top-loaded machines

7TSE-N / A.S. February 2002

Outputs to actuators

The electronic control generates (power)outputs to the following indicators andactuators:

Ø user interface (indicator LEDs and buzzer)

Ø main motor (speed control, reversing & field tapping)

Ø drain pump motor

Ø 2 solenoid valves

Ø door lock

Ø door lock indicator lamp (some models)

Water fill: prewash(on 3-compartment dispensers)

If the prewash solenoid valve is energized, water flows into the prewash compartment.

With the STAINS option (can’t be selectedsimultaneously with PREWASH), the com-

partment will be used for the stain remover.

21TSE-N / A.S. February 2002

Water fill: main wash(on all dispensers)

If the main wash solenoid valve is energized, water flows into the main wash compartment

22TSE-N / A.S. February 2002

Water fill: fabric conditioner(on all dispensers)

If both solenoid valves are energized, the jets deviate each other, and

water flows through the middle channelinto the fabric conditioner compartment

23TSE-N / A.S. February 2002

Water fill: prewash and bleach(on 4-compartment dispensers)

The prewash solenoid valve is energized, andwater flows both into the prewash, and into

the bleach compartment

This means that the PREWASH and BLEACHoptions can’t be selected simultaneously !

27TSE-N / A.S. February 2002

Water Fill Control

Øin the first fill step, water is filled until antiboil, and then “1st“ level contacts close

Øthe electronic measures the time ∆t elapsed between closure of antiboil and “1st“ level contacts, and calculates the flow rate = volume AB to L1 / ∆t

Øin the second fill step, an additional quant- ity defined in the programme tables is filled

Øthis fill step is time controlled, based on the flow rate
