Usuários de redes sociais na América Latina tendem a usar mais dispositivos móveis para acessar suas contas quando comparados a países desenvolvidos.
Por exemplo, mais da metade dos usuários do Facebook na Argentina, Brasil e México acessam o serviço por meio de smartphones e tablets, de acordo com estatísticas da empresa.
O maior mercado latino-americano do Facebook é o Brasil com 76 milhões de usuários ativos por mês (junho de 2013), sendo que 57,9% destes utilizam tanto computadores quanto smartphones.
