Who am I?

• The wolverine is 26-41 inches long.

• It’s tail is 17-26centimeters long.

• It lives from 7-12years. It is brown.

• It is the largestmember of theweasel family.

The Early Years

The wolverinesgestation period is 30-50 days.

2-3 kits are born at onetime.

They weigh about 84grams

They are white. They are weaned at

about 9-10 weeks. When they are born

their eyes are closed.

Habitat Sweet Habitat

Wolverines live indens amongst rootsand rocks. Theyhave a very largehome range. Themales territorysometimes overlapsthe femalesterritory.

What’s on the Menu?

Wolverines eatmostly meat. Theyeat deer, hare,rodents, birds, eggs,carrion, andseasonal fruits. Theyare omnivores.

Making Tracks

Wolverine’s feethave pads on thebottom of their feet.Their claws arelarge, so they canwalk through heavysnow.

They are known asthe “skunk bear.”

They are found inCanada, NW USA, &E Asia. They aremost likely to live inthe woods.
