Why is USA a great civilization?

TECHNOLOGY

The United States is a leader in technology. Computers are great examples of technology. Before they had computers, if you wanted to get he recipe for fudge brownies, you would searchthrough cook books. Now you can get the recipe online.

TECHNOLOGY

Another great example of technology is a car. I think that cars help daily life a lot because before they invented cars people had to walk or ride in carriages everywhere they go. Now you can drive to places that are farther than people can walk.

GOVERNMENT

An example of government in the United States is the Capitol building. The Capitol building is the meeting place for the US Congress. It was built in 1793 .

The US Congress is part of government in the US. The Congress consists of the Senate and The House of Representatives .

WritingEnglish is the main language in United States. But there are many different languages spoken and written in US like Spanish and French . Many Books in different genres are written in US by several authors . In the US there are a lot of ways to write. You can write with a quill pen( which isn’t very common). You can also type on a computer or you can also write on a piece of paper with a pencil. We now have online ebooksin addition to paper books.

STABLE FOOD SUPPLYMany Dams, Canals, and Reservoirs in US provide farms with regular supply of water. An example of a dam in the US is the Hoover Dam which is located on the Colorado River.Food is grown in a large amounts in big farms across the country. Huge agricultural machinery, like Tractors and Tilling machinesare used on the farms.

STABLE FOOD SUPPLY

Food in farms is harvested, packaged and sent to all the grocery stores like Shoprite and A&P. There are also a lot of local farms that supply food to the local food stores.

SOCIAL STRUCTURE

There are many different models of social structure in the US.There is one simple three-class model which includes “Rich”, “Middle Class” and “Poor”. Many other definitions of social structure group people according to wealth, income, education ,type of occupation, and culture.

Even though there are many classes of social structure in the US, all the classes enjoy freedom and liberty. This was not true in Sumerian times.

RELIGIONThere are many different religions practiced in the US as it is a country of immigrants. The majority of Americans are Christians. The rest are Jewish, Muslim, Hindus and others.

RELIGION

There are also people that do not belong to any religious group. People in US are free to practice religion of their choice.

THE ARTS

The US has a very rich history of several different forms of art like painting, music, theater and architecture. Early American art consists of history paintings and portraits. Museums like National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC ,display famous works of art. Famous musicians perform in Music theaters like Carnegie Hall.

The United States is a very highly developed and civilized country.
