Scratch Information The Coronis HEC terminal provides a number of helpful features for managing and validating scratch tickets. With it, you can:
Receive scratch ticket orders into your inventory Activate packs of scratch tickets Validate scratch tickets Settle scratch ticket packs Manage your scratch ticket inventory with a variety of reports
Receiving Scratch Tickets
When you receive an order of scratch tickets, check the contents against the shipment invoice to confirm that everything is in the order. If correct, the order can be received as a group of ticket packs by receiving the shipment invoice or by receiving any pack from the shipment. (If incorrect, please contact the Lottery at 1-800-433-8490 for instructions.)

Receiving by Shipment Invoice
1. Select [RECEIVE SHIPMENT] from the Pack Functions on the
Scratch Menu. The Receive Shipment screen displays as follows:

2. Scan the invoice barcode or manually enter the Scratch shipment
order number to receive entire shipment. 3. Touch the [RECEIVE SHIPMENT] button. 4. The following Receive Shipment receipt is produced.
Activating Scratch Tickets
Scratch tickets cannot be sold until the pack has been activated through the terminal.
It is not permitted to activate a pack of scratch tickets before the game start or after the game end date. Never sell scratch tickets from a pack that does not belong to you.

1. Select [ACTIVATE] from the Scratch Menu. The Pack Activation screen displays as follows:

2. Scan the Game/Pack Barcode or Manually enter the Game/Pack
number and select Activate. 3. The following Activation receipt is produced.

Settling Scratch Tickets
Unless manually settled, pack settlement automatically occurs 28 days after activation, except when you are notified otherwise. To manually settle a pack:
1. Select [SETTLE PACK] from the Pack Functions on the Scratch Menu.

2. Scan the Game/Pack barcode or manually enter Game/Pack number
and select [SETTLE]. 3. The following Settlement receipt is produced.

Paying Scratch Tickets
To determine the winning status of a scratch ticket, you must validate it through the system.
Scratch tickets are validated by using the barcode reader on the front of the terminal, or by placing the ticket through the reader. A red light emits from the barcode reader. The barcode of the scratch ticket must be placed directly under this red light for the ticket to be read.
Paying a Scratch Ticket There are two types of scratch ticket validation barcodes. The first type is tickets with game number 499 or less. The validation barcode on these tickets is on the ticket back. The second type of ticket barcode is on tickets with game number 500 or more. The validation barcode on these tickets is on the ticket face, under the latex. Paying a ticket with game numbers 499 or less:
1. Place the validation barcode under the reader, with the barcode face up.
2. A pop-up appears asking for the 3-digit boxed code (the PIN) printed under the latex.
3. Enter the 3-digit code to validate the ticket. 4. Press [PRINT] to print the winner receipt.
Paying a ticket with game numbers 500 or less:
1. Place the validation barcode under the reader, with the barcode face up
2. The ticket is automatically validated. Press [PRINT] to print the winner receipt.
A 3-digit code is not necessary for validating tickets with game numbers 500 or more.

Scratch Ticket Reports
All Scratch Reports can be accessed by selecting the Scratch Report Menu button from the Main Menu. Daily reports are available back to 180 days. Weekly Reports are available for 18 months. Scratch Ticket Shipment is also available for 18 months.

For Reports where a date selection is required, select a date from a pop-up calendar (see screen below) to generate the report.

All reports are displayed on a preview screen. Choose Print to print the report, and Exit to return to the Scratch Report Menu.

Scratch Inventory Report (Summary and Detail)
The Scratch Inventory Report shows totals for all scratch games in your inventory and their current status.

The Returned Packs Report shows all returned scratch games in your inventory for a specified timeframe.
