Current Promotion Criteria
To be promoted from grade to grade…students must make acceptable progress in at least 5 of 7 courses, to include: Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies
Promotion Criteria
To be promoted to high school…students must successfully complete the following by the end of 8th grade:
3 courses in Language Arts
3 courses in Mathematics
3 courses in Social Studies
3 courses in Science
Odyssey Lab
Credit Retrieval
Students who fail LA, Math, Science, and/or Social Studies
Forfeit elective and/or PE
Self-paced program
Space is VERY limited

Intensive Reading – 2 period block
Level 1 or 2 on FCAT and diagnostic scores indicate remediation
