The lake Loch Ness in the north of Scotland is famous for a legendary monster. A recent investigation, discovered signs of the monster. The legends about a giant water creature are ancient. Saint Columba recorded seeing Nessie in

the sixth century. Local people think of the monster as a female and call her Nessie. People describe Nessie: a giant prehistoric creature with a round body and a very very long neck - maybe a type of dinosaur.

Let’s check!

Loch Ness isn’t the biggest lake in Scotland, but

because it is very deep, it is the one with the

most water.

But that’s not why it’s famous. It is famous

because many people believe that a gigantic,

prehistoric animal lives there.
