DOE Energy Conservation Artwork Contest

The Office of Sustainability is looking for original artwork that illustrates how energy efficiency and conservation can be practiced in our schools. This contest is open to all NYC DOE students from all grade levels (K-12).

The fifteen winning pieces of artwork will be used to create the 2020-2021 school year Energy Conservation Calendar, which will be available to schools at no cost after the contest. Prizes will be awarded to all 15 winners at an award ceremony at the DOE Tweed Courthouse in May. Artwork will be selected based on the design's message, subject relevance, and artistic originality.

CONTEST RULES:

1. All entries must be submitted on an 8.5”x 11” standard white paper in landscape (horizontal) format. All art forms are accepted (e.g.: paint, color pencils, crayon, digital, etc.).

2. All entries must have the following clearly written on the back: student full name, grade level, teacher’s name, school name and borough. Students should not sign the front. Entries with missing and/or illegible information will be disqualified.
