Vision

Extension Of The Kingdom

They had a God given Vision for every place

• They did not keep the gospel to themselves but they began to go out and share the gospel. Of course this did not happen till the Holy Spirit was poured out upon them.

• So when that happened then they did not keep the gospel they began to live the gospel and give the gospel.

• We need the baptism of the Holy Spirit so that we would have a sharing culture.

• The outpouring of the Holy Spirit changes us from just being beneficiaries to becoming witnesses.

• When we are baptized in the Holy Spirit, we realize that we are meant to be outside.

The baptism of the Holy Spirit is not reserved for special people; it is for all of us. It does not have to be done in a special way .

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, “Surely no one can stand in the way of their being baptized with water. They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.” So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Acts 10: 44-48

“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened. “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead? Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion? If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Luke 11:9-13

•For those who have experienced this filling, we need to be filled every day. Otherwise we will live our lives as beneficiaries and not witnesses.

• When there is a cell group in a place, the cell cannot exist for its members but it exists for a vision for that locality.

They relied on the Supernatural Power of God.

In Lystra there sat a man who was lame. He had been that way from birth and had never walked. He listened to Paul as he was speaking. Paul looked directly at him, saw that he had faith to be healed and called out, “Stand up on your feet!” At that, the man jumped up and began to walk. When the crowd saw what Paul had done, they shouted in the Lycaonian language, “The gods have come down to us in human form!” Barnabas they called Zeus, and Paul they called Hermes because he was the chief speaker. The priest of Zeus, whose temple was just outside the city, brought bulls and wreaths to the city gates because he and the crowd wanted to offer sacrifices to them. Acts 14: 8-13

• So there is a Ritual Prayer and a Genuine Desperate Prayer.

• So when there is other no option our prayer changes. It becomes desperate.

Vs 20: “In this way the word of the Lord spread widely and grew in power.”

We also see that the supernatural was birthed because of the faith that was released through the word. The supernatural has its foundation in the word.
