We have once again gathered together a fan-tastic group of artists, this time to illustrate imaginary fashion portraits using the char-acters of Katawa Shoujo as the models. The result is this book, a catalog for the fictional fashion brand Beauty and Strangeness. Fashion is all about identity and attitude. What we wear has the power to reveal - or hide - something about who we are. For example, a uniform is a reverse disguise: the one our char-acters wear daily marks the wearer as a stu-dent of a school for kids with a disability. At the same time, the fashion world often excludes models whose bodies don’t fit a certain ideal. This book seeks to break down the rigidness of those categorizations, and illustrate both fashion and the Katawa Shoujo characters in a fresh way. I hope you’ll enjoy the artwork on these pages.
