A little about me…

• Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and French- Washington College• Master of Arts in Bilingual Legal Interpreting- College of Charleston• Currently working towards Teaching Certificate- UNC Charlotte• Worked as Educational Interpreter, English Teacher abroad, ESL tutor,

Adjunct (Spanish), Teacher Assistant for 1st-2nd grade afterschool program, and High School Spanish teacher• I speak Spanish, French, Portuguese, Italian, and Japanese• Got into Education because I wanted to make a difference

college workload and expectations, including classroom behavior, homework, etc.• Classes are conducted in Spanish…

Why I use the immersion approach…• The best way to learn a language

is for students to use it in a real-world way (i.e. in a classroom)• Develops strong thinking skills• Most effective approach to

bilingualism and building language proficiency• Bilingual students outperform their

monolingual peers on standardized tests

Grading Policy

High School Wide Late-Work Policy: Work will not be accepted more than one day late. Late work will be worth 90% instead of 100%.There are no extra credit assignments.

Tutoring

I offer tutoring during lunch Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays as well as after school 3:30-4 everyday except Thursdays. Before school tutoring is available by appointment only!
