Despite tendencies in the New Testament guild, the Gospel writers are not trying to convey merely their own ethical teachings to their audiences, but rather the teachings of Jesus about various important matters. The ethics of Jesus should be seen as the most fundamental basis of New Testament ethics, even more fundamental than Pauline ethics.
In this seminar, Dr. Witherington will explore the sapiential character and nature of the Sermon on the Mount, and discuss what it calls the followers of Jesus to do and to be.
ThIS SEmINAR AWARDS ONE CONTINuING EDuCATION CREDIT FOR CLERGY.
