The Challenge

To start a sustainable stakeholder/policy process:

– towards a shared and well coordinated climate change adaptation strategy,

– for the water management of the international Meuse basin,

– based on state of the art knowledge about the system, and

– motivated by the current momentum AMICE has created

Output /goal• Roadmap for climate adaptation in the

international Meuse basin, that:– Gives an overview of the main challenges for climate

adaptation in the international Meuse basin– Prioritizes actions and investments to take by policy

makers– Is developed by an interdisciplinary team of experts

and policy makers with representatives from all Meuse countries.

– Is a good basis for transnational actions and policy processes after AMICE

How?

• Two workshops of 2 consecutive days

• 15-20 selected participants– From all countries– Diverse sectors– Mix of experts and policy

makers

• English language• Parallelly WP1 meetings

with AMICE partners
