FINANCIAL DETAILS AND COSTS
• Cap. Ex. - ₹ 68 Cr.
• Convergence - ₹ 18 Cr. (HRIDAY)
• State share - ₹ 50 Cr. (SMART CITY)
Development of Bhadrakali Forshore promenade.
HRIDAY: Promenade of a length of 1.1 kms: 40 % completed and
balance works are under progress.
SMART CITY: Promenade of length 2.9 Kms. is ready for Tender.
SCOPE• LAKE FRONT PROMENADE DEVELOPMENT of a length of 3.8 km and 30 Meters
Wide.
• Components Include Development of:
1.Lake Front Promenade,
2.Entrance Plazas,
3.Viewing Decks, Bird walks
4.Rubberized walking Tracks
5.Toy Train Track
6.Open Air Gym and Children Play Areas
7.Parking Areas,
8.Lighting and Street Furniture,
9.Landscaping Works.
• Gio-bio diversity and cultural park of an area 400 Ha.
• Design Concept by Kakathiya Urban Development Authority.
• Design prepared by Mr. Kishore Pradhan to be implemented.

CHALLENGES/ DIFFICULTIES ENCOUNTERED
• Encroachment of new development from all the sides of the lake.
• Non accessible lake front
• Degradation of natural assets and venerable resources.
• Upcoming multi storey structures & non- regulated development in the
vicinity, disturbing the natural significance of the place.
• Nala Passing through the neighbourhood, the untreated water is passing
through it.
• Marshy lands which are an encouragement of unwanted biological
activities.
• Establishing Connection between Promenade & Kakatiya Musical Garden
(KMG).
OVERCOMING THE CHALLENGES
• The 30 Mts. Wide bund was proposed in foreshore area to control the
haphazard development
• Special regulations envisaged viz. public open space and heritage zone,
FTL/ buffer zones in the Master Plan.
• Diversion of the sewerage drain all along the promenade.
• The green belt proposed as a buffer dividing the lake front and habitation.
• Rejuvenation of the lake by removing the elephant grass and distillation of
the tank under Mission Kakathiya.
• Proposed Connectivity to KMG through Suspension Bridge - 120 m.
• Image Building Project for the City,
• Aiming for Geo-Bio Diversity and Cultural park.
• Development of Recreational Areas,
• Lake Preservation from encroachLakements,
• Will act as a Cultural Area for Civic Interaction,
• Will enhance Tourism and Heritage.
• 4-Approach roads are tendered to increase
accessability to Lake front
