This Addendum forms a part of the Permit Set Documents dated 02/13/20, and modifies the original Docu-
ments as noted below. This Addendum applies to any or all contracts and subcontracts. All work required
by this addendum shall be in complete accord with the Contract Documents and subsequent Addenda here-
to. The Items listed in this addendum are not in any order in regard to the drawings or the specifications. All
contractors are cautioned to examine each and every item of this addendum.
The following changes or clarifications to the plans and specifications shall be included as part of the Con-
tract Document.
This Addendum consists of (4) written pages and (5) full sized drawings.

A) THE OWNER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SALVAGE ANY EXISTING MATERIAL, EQUIPMENT, ETC. PRIOR TO THE START OF DEMOLITION. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL VERIFY THOSE ITEMS TO BE SALVAGED WITH OWNER.
B) ALL EXISTING CONSTRUCTION INDICATED TO REMAIN THAT IS DAMAGED OR AFFECTED BY THE DEMOLITION SHALL BE REPAIRED AND RESTORED TO ITS ORIGINAL CONDITION.
C) CONTRACTOR SHALL COORDINATE CONSTRUCTION WITH THE OCCUPANT TO AVOID DISRUPTION OF THE FACILITY OPERATIONS. MAINTAIN REQUIRED EGRESS DURING CONSTRUCTION. PROVIDE TEMPORARY BARRICADES, ENCLOSURES AND PROTECTION AS NECESSARY DURING CONSTRUCTION.
D) WHERE WALLS OR PARTITIONS ARE SHOWN TO BE REMOVED, ALSO REMOVE ALL ITEMS ATTACHED, CONNECTED OR INTERNAL TO THE WALLS INCLUDING TRIM, SHELVING, ACCESSORIES, CABINETS, BLOCKING, EQUIPMENT, MARKERBOARDS, ETC. REMOVE IN THEIR ENTIRETY, FASTENERS AND WALL ATTACHMENT DEVICES. PATCH AND REPAIR AS NEEDED TO COMPLETE WORK.

MISCELLANEOUS ABANDONED ITEMS INCLUDING CONDUIT, WALL PENETRATIONS (SCREWS, NAILS,ANCHORS, ETC), WOOD BLOCKING, AND OTHER VARIOUS ITEMS FASTENED TO EXISTING WALLS MAY NOT BE INDICATED ON THE DRAWINGS. REMOVE SUCH ITEMS THAT ARE NOT USED IN, ORCONCEALED BY NEW WORK. PATCH AND REPAIR DAMAGE TO THE WALLS WHERE SUCH ITEMSARE REMOVED.

K) REMOVE ALL CEILING MOUNTED ITEMS INCLUDING LIGHT FIXTURES, GRILLS, REGISTERS, SPEAKERS, FIRE ALARM DEVICES, ETC. COORDINATE WITH MECHANICAL AND ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS.
L) SALVAGE ALL CEILING MOUNTED PROJECTORS AND TURN OVER TO OWNER.
M) REFER TO CIVIL, STRUCTURAL, PLUMBING, MECHANICAL, AND ELECTRICAL DRAWINGS FOR ADDITIONAL DEMOLITION INFORMATION.
N) PORTIONS OR ELEMENTS (I.E. DOOR FRAMES) OF WALL SCHEDULED TO BE REMOVED OR SAWCUT AND REMOVED SHALL BE DONE SO TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO ADJACENT CONSTRUCTION TO REMAIN.
O) LIMITS INDICATED FOR DEMOLITION OF EXISTING BRICK AND CMU MASONRY ARE APPROXIMATE. REMOVE MASONRY UNITS TO NEAREST MORTAR JOINTS TO PREMIT "TOOTHING IN" OF NEW MASONRY TO EXISTING COURSING, UNLESS NOTED OTHERWISE. REFER TO MECHANICAL DRAWINGS FOR REMOVAL OF THRU-WALL MECHANICAL GRILLES, REGISTERS, AND DUCTWORK. P) ITEMS IDENTIFIED TO BE SALVAGED ("REMOVE AND DELIVER TO OWNER") SHALL BE CAREFULLY REMOVED AND DELIVERED TO A STORAGE AREA DESIGNATED BY THE OWNER FOR THIS PURPOSE. ITEMS OWNER CHOOSES TO RETAIN SHALL BE RELOCATED FROM THE STORAGE AREA BY OWNER (NIC). ALL OTHER ITEMS SHALL BE SUBSEQUENTLY REMOVED AND DISPOSED OF BY CONTRACTOR WHEN AUTHORIZED BY OWNER.
Q) EXISTING LOOSE FURNITURE, EQUIPMENT, SUPPLIES, AND PERSONAL BELONGINGS LOCATED IN SPACES TO BE RENOVATED SHALL BE REMOVED AND RELOCATED BY OWNER (NIC).
R) COORDINATE DEMOLITION WORK WITH NEW WORK NOTES TO ENSURE PROPER REMOVAL OF ITEMS.
S) REMOVE ALL CEILINGS UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
T) REMOVE ALL CEILING MOUNTED PROJECTORS, SPEAKERS AND A/V ITEMS IN ALL ROOMS AND TURN OVER TO OWNER. A/V WIRING SHALL REMAIN ABOVE CEILING AND BRACKET SUPPORTED FROM THE STRUCTURE ABOVE.
U) DEMO ALL CONCRETE MECH AND ELECTRICAL UNIT HOUSEKEEPING PADS. SEE MECH/ELEC.
V) NOTE: THE CONTRACTOR SHALL ASSUME THAT THERE IS EXISTING FLOORING UNDER ALL EXISTING CASEWORK AND THAT THE FLOORING CONTAINS ASBESTOS.
