Step into an RSL LifeCare residential service and you can’t help but feel at home. We seek to make your experience warm and inviting, from our homelike design, to our comfortable community areas and private bedrooms, to our exceptional outdoor gardens and landscaped grounds. Look around and you’ll notice points of interest throughout the residence, and you may even spot one of our pets. And of course, there are always the friendly smiling faces of our staff to ensure that each day spent here is a welcome one. RSL LifeCare has been caring for and serving seniors since 1911. Founders William Wood and Stephen Stack started with a simple vision – to look after and give the best to war veterans. Today, we are open to all Australians and are one of the most experienced and innovative providers of senior living services in the world.
Life is what you make it. At RSL LifeCare, we believe no two people are alike and we understand that the services each person requires are never exactly the same. We call this our person-centred approach to living. It begins with the resident and his or her needs. It results in choices – about day-to-day living, service and care options. In this way, we help maintain independence and dignity and provide the best possible lifestyle. Our approach has made RSL LifeCare one of the largest and most comprehensive senior living providers in the country.

Alan and Joy made a decision to move to a village
in order to downsize and not do several moves. They
wanted to move whilst they were healthy, active and
able to ‘fit in.’ “RSL ANZAC Village was initially our pick,
and after more exploration and checking, our decision
was made as the home we looked at was perfect,
the residents are friendly, the staff are supportive
and always available. We just love the bush setting
amongst the well maintained grounds and pathways.
The provision for ongoing care was also a positive
factor in our decision. We have never regretted our
move and have felt at home from the very first day!”
Alan & Joy GlasseyVilliers-Bretonneux
RSL LifeCare is widely recognized as a leader in Senior Living:
• Aged Care Standards & Accreditation Agency Commendable Accreditation Award – just seven of the 3,000 aged care services in Australia have reached this pinnacle of success
• Minister for Ageing Award – Winner of the Staff Education and Development Award
• Aged Care Association of Australia – Winner of the Leadership and Management Award
• Prime Minister’s Employer of the Year Award, Disability – NSW Finalist
• Aged Care Association of Australia Building Renovation – Finalist for the creation of innovative partnership rooms
All our services are linked in with detailed quality systems and have the backing of our university affiliation to ensure the highest care services possible.
After 22 years of residing in the Village, Peg’s advice to anyone thinking about a move is an emphatic “DO IT”. Her words about the RSL ANZAC Village are “everyone, but just everyone, is so caring. When my husband passed away, I was lonely but the Village recreation program saved my life. Also, it makes me happy that my family are at ease knowing that I am safe and cared for”
Peg LeeCutler Village
Helen has lived in the village for 15 years. With
her husband Bill, Helen moved in when Bill had
some health issues so that they could enjoy life
together, never dreaming they would need the
ongoing care, which they did only last year.
Helen’s advice to anyone is “Don’t leave it too
late to move in and although we were advised
to keep up our outside activities, we became so
involved within the village that our friends often
commented on our busy schedule!” “As a matter
of fact” Helen says. “I am so busy with my social
life, I have little spare time”.

Our History RSL LifeCare is a charitable organisation that was formed in 1911 to provide care and service to war veterans. Services were initially provided at Bare Island, Botany Bay, until moving to Narrabeen in 1939. From small beginnings providing care and service to just a handful of war veterans, the organisation has grown to be one of the largest senior living services in Australia.
Caring for 7,500 people across Retirement Living, Home Care, Assisted Living, Dementia and Nursing Homes, we have developed an extensive range of services that fosters independence and provides social, clinical, emotional and spiritual support.
Despite our growth and the passage of time, RSL LifeCare remains true to its original aim and mission – to provide a home of peace and security to senior Australians.
