The den meeting plans for the Wolf rank adventures are found in the
Wolf Den Leader Guide along with other tips and hints for running a fun Cub Scout Program.
Wolf Adventures are found in the Wolf Handbook. A Wolf must first earn his
Bobcat rank. After completing the requirements for Bobcat he may go on to complete the requirements for the Wolf
rank and the many electives that are
Wolf Scouts work toward the Wolf rank. The Wolf rank is earned by completing:

⇒ Paws on the Path

exercises in the pam-
phlet “How to Protect
Your Children From
Child Abuse: A Parent’s
Guide”, AND earn the
Cyber Chip
award for
his age.

THE DEN LEADER’S RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Stimulate interest in advancement by providing opportunities for boys to work on advancement requirements in den meetings.
2. Plan meetings that support the advancement program. The assistant den leader and den chief can help.
3. Help parents and adult partners understand the advancement plan and their role in promoting advancement.
4. Keep accurate records of requirements that boys complete. Promptly provide the pack leadership with the Den Advancement Report
so boys can be recognized at the next pack meeting.
5. Notice boys who are not advancing and find out why. This could indicate a weakness in the den or pack program.
6. Provide reinforcement for and recognition of advancement at den meetings. These can include advancement charts, den doodles, and
immediate recognition items.
Advancement is one of the methods we use to achieve Scouting’s aims and its desired outcomes.
As boys earn the Rank Badge they achieve important goals in developing skills and favorable
dispositions related to personal fitness, good character, participatory citizenship, outdoor skills,
and leadership development. Each level of the program is designed to achieve these goals through
a series of developmentally-appropriate and fun adventures.

BEAR ADVANCEMENT
The den meeting plans for the Bear rank adventures are found in the

and becomes a Webelos Scout.
