The mouse is thirsty.

Hiirellä on jano.

So the mouse walks to a well.

Niinpä hiiri kävelee kaivolle.

But the well is too deep.

Mutta kaivo on liian syvä.

So the mouse fetches a ladder.

Niinpä hiiri hakee tikapuut.

But the ladder is broken.

Mutta tikapuut ovat rikki.

So the mouse fetches a hammer from the house.

Niinpä hiiri hakee talosta vasaran.

But the hammer is missing.

Mutta vasara on kadoksissa.

So the mouse goes to a neighbour to borrow a hammer.

Niinpä hiiri lähtee naapuriin vasaraa lainaamaan.

But the neigbour is in town.

Mutta naapuri on kylillä.

So the mouse goes into town also.

Niinpä hiirikin lähtee kylille.

But the bridge collapses. The mouse falls into water.

Mutta silta romahtaa. Hiiri motskareineen molskahtaa jokeen.

So the mouse tries to rescue the motorcycle.

Niinpä hiiri yrittää sukeltaa motskarin ylös.

But a spatter throws the mouse onto the shore. A leg comes loose.

Mutta pärske heittää hiiren rannalle ja hiiren jalka irtoaa.

So the mouse fetches gum from the woods to glue the leg.

Niinpä hiiri hakee metsästä pihkaa jalan liimaukseen.

But the tree is a gum tree.

Mutta puu onkin kumipuu.

So the mouse tries its new gum leg.

Niinpä hiiri kokeilee uutta kumijalkaansa.

But the mouse accidentally jumps into the village of hungry cats.

Mutta hiiri hyppää vahingossa nälkäisten kissojen kylään.

So the mouse tries to run off.

Niinpä hiiri yrittää karata.

But the cats catch the mouse and begin to build a cage. It looks bad.

Mutta kissat ottavat hiiren kiinni ja alkavat nikkaroida häkkiä.

So the mouse takes the hammer and starts to dig a hole.

Niinpä hiiri ottaa äkkiä vasaran ja alkaa kaivaa tunnelia.

But the mouse does not know when to return back onto the ground.

Mutta hiiri ei tiedä milloin uskaltaisi palata takaisin maan pinnalle.

So the mouse digs a long tunnel.

Niinpä hiiri kaivaa pitkän käytävän.

But finally the mouse thumps into a solid stone wall.

Mutta lopulta hiiri törmää kovaan kivimuuriin, joka ei mene rikki.

So the mouse squashes through the wall.

Niinpä hiiri puristautuu kivimuurin reiästä läpi.

But the mouse ends up in its own well under water.

Mutta hiiri joutuukin oman kaivonsa pohjalle veden alle.

So the mouse drinks the water.

Niinpä hiiri juo veden.

But the mouse is not able to climb out of the well.

Mutta hiiri ei pääse kaivosta pois omin voimin.

So the mouse shouts to the neighbour for help.

Niinpä hiiri huutaa naapuria apuun.

But the neighbour cannot help, because the ladder is broken.

Mutta avaruusolionaapuri ei voi auttaa, koska tikapuut ovat rikki.

So the mouse throws the hammer to the neighbour, who fixes the

ladder and rescues the mouse.

Niinpä hiiri heittää vasaran naapurille, joka korjaa tikapuut ja auttaa

hiiren ylös kaivosta.

But the course of events today has confused the mouse.

Mutta hiirellä on yhä kiihtynyt olo päivän tapahtumien vuoksi.

So the mouse tries to cool off and think good points. Thirst is gone!

Niinpä hiiri yrittää rauhoittua ja ajatella hyviä puolia. Enää ei janota!
