Governing Safety Bodies

Operators of Lifts should always inspect the equipment each day before using. The operator’s manual usually contains a checklist to help you

Monthly or yearly inspections of equipment must be conducted by a competent person. Records must be maintained along with any work that is done to the equipment.

Operating Instructions must always be posted on the equipment and all operators should be familiar with the contents.

Inspection ReportAt the conclusion of your inspection report any damage to your supervisor

Load tests must be conducted on a regular basis. Never use a machine in need of repair.
