Grantwriting can be daunting, but Greening Forward youth have a few tips to make it all seem a little bit easier. In Grantwriting for Teens, we’ll be looking at ways for youth-driven projects to find foundations to request funding from, how to not be afraid to ask for money, and how to approach the process.

Things to look for »- Mission statement- The letter of interest or application deadlines,

guidelines, and criteria - The types of projects they’ve funded in the

Strategy and Gameplanning

Have an overall gameplan:• How many grants do you aim to write?• What are the deadlines for each one?• How much funding do you want?

• What is the likelihood of obtaining each grant you are applying for?

• How long do you think it’ll take to write each grant? How much time do you have?• Do you have any help?
