•Email lists of staff to hire to Elizabeth Ventura and Deb Middleton.

•Email clerk and EA hiring requests to me for final approval.

•Check student data and continue to update all next week --route supervisor AND database.

HiringHiring

•No staff member or substitute can work or be paid until they have submitted an on-line application.

•Out of district applicants may have to submit additional info- contact Deb Middleton.

•Short-call or non-classroom licenses may be considered-contact Jim Elander

Staffing ModelStaffing Model

•20/1 classroom ratio

•1 para for every 2 classrooms or “trade” --contact Jim Elander

•1 para should assist with attendance entry

•Site leader 3.0 hours

•Teachers 2.5 hours

•Paras 2.0 --unless “verified” on daily walking line

PayPay

•Licensed teachers $25.35 per hour

•Paraprofessionals= regular school day hourly rate of pay

•Working outside workday title = Step 1, Lane 1 of job contract

•Out district= Step 1, Lane 1

•Completing CLP’s, occasional staff meetings, etc.- all part of the prep pay

Job DutiesJob Duties

•Refer to site leader manual and job descriptions on website

•#1 - raise student achievement as measured by MCA’s !

•Model-tutor-assist-teach-assess-evaluate

•Attendance

•Payroll

•CLP’s

Snack- RecessSnack- Recess

•Available free of charge to all students

•10-15 minutes snack

•10 minutes between classes or to stretch and/or bathroom break

•Speak with building lunch person for snack details

Student DisciplineStudent Discipline

•Change classroom setting

•Change instructional setting

•Contact parent-multiple times

•Contact Jim Elander before dismissal and/or suspension

•Use ALC discipline reporting on-line system

•Contact route supervisor and Jim Elander regarding bus incidents

PayrollPayroll

•Addressed mailing envelopes

•All information on time sheet must be completed

•Time sheets signed by employee and Site Leader

•Call Deb Middleton for changes to the time sheets

•Late payroll will result in employees waiting an additional 2 weeks to be paid

AttendanceAttendance

•Attendance=ALC revenue

•Daily and accurate

•X= present, blank= absent

•You do not need to mark, in the ALC on-line attendance system OR on the attendance cards, if students are absent

•Attendance=staffing

•The Site Leader is responsible for attendance

Supply OrdersSupply Orders

•$3 per average program size during the entire year

•must be spent by winter break

•Office Depot -consumable supplies only

•Food and field trips will not be approved

•Other student “incentives” must be approved in writing by Jim Elander

TransportationTransportation

•Any changes beginning “now” must be approved by route supervisor

•Students must be entered in ALC on-line registration database

•Changing routes must be approved by Transportation

•No “new” student can begin service w/o being approved by route supervisor
