RULES
1. All riding hats must conform to Pony Club Rules 2014 and must be worn
and securely fastened at all times when mounted.
ALL HATS TO BE CHECKED WHEN COLLECTING NUMBERS
2. No galloping on the Show ground
3. No lungeing on the Show Ground.
4. BODY PROTECTORS REQUIRED FOR WORKING HUNTER CLASSES
5. No whips or spurs are permitted in Gymkhana Events.
6. Pony Club Dress Rules to apply. No earrings or other jewellery to be
worn by competitors.
7. All Lead Reins must be attached to either the noseband or headcollar.
8. Any objection to be made in writing, accompanied by a deposit of £10.00
9. Neither the Pony Club nor the organising Committee will accept any
responsibility for any damage or injury that may be caused to
competitors, spectators, their property, servants or horses/ponies in
connection with, or arising out of this Show, whether or not such damage
or injury arises as a result of negligence of anyone assisting in running the
Show.
10. No entries will be refunded unless a medical or veterinary certificate if
produced.
11. Should the Show be cancelled the organisers reserve the right to withhold
£5.00 of each entry fee to offset costs.
12. All Showjumping is run under Pony Club 2014 Rules. Class 6A will be run
under Pony Club Rules and in accordance with the Dengie Rules.

Health & Safety
The organisers of this event have taken reasonable precautions to ensure the
health and safety of everyone present. For these to be effective, everyone
must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring
and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the officials and
stewards.

• To encourage young people to ride and to learn to enjoy all kinds of sport

Membership
Membership is open to boys and girls under 25 years of age
Branch Membership
Branch Membership is open to anyone under 21 years of age and existing Members
may continue membership up to the age of 25. Members should have access to a
horse or pony, by ownership or loan, and have the means to transport the horse or
pony to and from rallies and events.
