Let me share an excellent IBO tools that ACN has put together to assist you
in your customer acquisitions! You can find in your back office – under
the Product Tab/Digital Phone Service section – Competitive
Comparisons between ACN Digital Phone Service and companies such as
Comcast, Time Warner and Cox – showing your customer how ACN
compared to their current phone service ~ the average customer could
save up to 19% on their bill. These comparisons are based on ACN Digital
Phone Service with a customer using the ACN Phone Adapter.
ACN also provides you Competitive Comparisons for the ACN Local and Long
Distance product vs. AT&T, Centurylink and Verizon market products ..

In order to use the ACN Digital Phone Service the customer will connect
using the ACN Phone Adapter.
The ACN Phone Adapter delivers phone service to the customer through
your high speed internet connection (Cable or DSL). They can keep their
existing phone number or acquire a new one from ACN. With the phone
adapter, the customer can have up to 2 unique phone numbers. So they
could use this 2nd line to your primary account for a kids line or a dedicated
fax line.
The customer’s cordless phones are the optimal way to get the most out of
the phone adapter, which allows them to have multiple phones throughout
the home. They simply attach the base unit of the cordless phone to the
adapter and then plug in the rest of the units throughout your house to your
electrical outlets. The phone adapter will be connected to their Internet
modem or router. It’s that simple to get up and running!

Customers can use it for light Web Browsing – such as checking out sports
scores or look up a restaurant.
Keep in mind, the device is primarily designed as a video phone with built-in
web browsing capabilities, and should not be considered a replacement for
your computer or iPad. The web browser is similar to the browser on your
mobile phone. Some sites, such as social networking sites, require plug-ins
and may not display properly.
Currently, YouTube is fully-functional, and the ability to browse other social
networking sites will be available in coming enhancements, released
throughout the year.

When your NEW customer is ready to order ACN Digital Phone Service and
the new IRIS X, send them to your ACN Direct Online Store! New customers
can order the IRIS X as a Family Plan line add on addition to their Phone
Adapter service. This is the recommended use of the IRIS X, as it is not
designed to replace full house phone service. The best value for the
customer can be found in this setup because the customer will have the
Digital Phone Service with Phone Adapter that can be used to replace a full
home phone service … and the addition of the IRIS X family plan which
allows them to stay in touch using the latest generation video phone!
Your customer can choose to order an account just using the IRIS X, but for
the best customer experience, explain to them that the IRIS X is a standalone
video phone. It does not all for connection to cordless phone sets …
meaning the use of that account phone number will be only at the IRIS X
device.
(CLICK) Customers can now use PayPal to purchase ACN Digital Phone
Service – including equipment, accessories and monthly service charges.
PayPal can be linked directly to any bank account or credit card – giving the
customer several options to pay for service. Customers can use their existing
PayPal account or create a new PayPal account when ordering – they simply
link it to a valid credit/debit card or bank account and use it to complete
their order.
I know that I keep saying this, but we recommend that the customer use the
IRIS X as an add on family plan line to the Phone Adapter.

Let’s make sure that you understand how the offering of energy services
works for your customer.
Your customer is not going to be switching utility companies. This table
summarizes the different roles played by utilities and retailers, such as
Planet Energy and XOOM Energy. As you can see, your customer will
continue to receive the same great service whether they sign up with an
energy retailer or stay with their local utility. One difference is that with the
energy retailer, your customers will gain flexible pricing options otherwise
unavailable to them. Second, in select markets XOOM Energy will be billing
the customer directly for the commodity and the utility will continue to bill
for distribution.

Planet Energy and XOOM Energy offer your customer the choice of multiple
plans – please note that the plan offerings will vary by utility market.
Customer can lock in their rates with 1 or 2 year fixed rate plans – allowing
them to take advantage of low market pricing now. While variable rates
plans (which may be riskier over long term) will fluctuate monthly based on
market rates. Planet Energy even offers hybrid rate plans – which blend
fixed rate and variable rate components. All these plans are excellent energy
service offering to your customers because they are not available through
the local utility!

Before Acquiring XOOM Energy Customers
In order to acquire XOOM Energy customers all IBOs will need to:
•Complete energy training through attending a live webinar or viewing a
recorded webinar hosted at IBO Back Office in the Training tab
•IBOs must then successfully complete the Accreditation Process, which
consists of a few training review questions and requires the IBO to affirm a
series of statements. The IBO must pass the review questions and complete
the accreditation process before customers will be allowed to place an order
using the IBO’s Business ID. IBOs can find the link to this accreditation
process in their IBO Back Office – immediately off the home page.
Remember that you will only need to take the XOOM Accreditation one time
– as it covers all XOOM markets! So be sure to complete the process
immediately after this training!

Planet Energy Identification Badge
IBOs acquiring customers in NY state ONLY are required to have a badge.
(ONLY IN NY STATE) IBOs acquiring Natural Gas and Electricity customers in
NY without having a Planet Energy badge will not receive compensation.
This badge should worn on the front of the outermost clothing and be
facing the customer at all times when speaking with customers about
Planet Energy products The picture on your badge should not be more
than 2 years old at any time.
If you live in another state and sell energy to customers in NY – you can do
this, but you must print off the badge … certainly you won’t be able to show
it to your customer in person – you simply need to have printed it off!
In order to print your badge, you must log into the IBO Back Office, go to the
Product Tab and Energy section.

Now let’s review some Do’s and Don’ts about acquiring energy customers.
• First, don’t promote savings to your potential customers – in fact,
Independent Business Owners are prohibited from stating that energy
products provide a savings on the customer's bill
• Another very important point to keep in mind is that rates will differ by
utility within each state
• Finally – you should avoid customer testimonials of savings – because
the rates will vary by market and may be revised monthly, one
customer’s savings may be exclusive to them. Remember, each
customer’s experience will be unique to their own situation and program
of choice.

So what is the best way to promote the energy programs? Use these great

fluctuate with the market, taking advantage of rates that may be low.

In this matrix is a comparison of a few selected providers of small
business phone services. One of the most important benefits of
DigitalTalk Express is that it provides both the phone service and

Express. They will then be taken to the DigitalTalk Express homepage. As
you can see your customer can check availability by entering their address
and phone number in the Check Availability box in the top right hand corner
of the page.
Please note when checking availability, a telephone number is required. If
your customer does not have a telephone number (perhaps they are a new
business), your customer simply enters in a local number.
