5 Pilot Markets to Increase Alumni Participation with Recruitment

Pilot Markets (by the numbers)

• Milwaukee: 130 Alumni, 18‐mile radius, 34 high schools

• Indianapolis: 107 Alumni, 17‐mile radius, 12 high schools

• Minneapolis: 192 Alumni, 20‐mile radius, 40 high schools

• Seattle: 183 Alumni, 16‐mile radius, 16 high schools

• S. Calf‐Orange County: 345 Alumni, 40 high schools

• Targeted areas where active alumni and target high schools produced highest potential to start. Took into account trends with regions (i.e. students going out of state, increase in pop. Etc)

• IIT Admission Ambassador Participation– Attending Undergraduate 

Admission events– Referring prospective 

students to IIT (now an online form)

– Communicating with admitted students (by phone, letters, email, etc.)

– Attending formal recruiting fairs and high schools visits

– Attending Regional and Local Alumni Events
