Jerome D'Costa's Bengali-language translation of the memoirs (in manuscript form) of Brother Eugene Lefevre, CSC, a Brother of the Congregation of Holy Cross in Bangladesh region. Of the French descent, this Brother speaks of his family members in British India, his own life as a Brother and his postings in different Catholic Church locations in the greater districts of Dhaka, Barisal, Noakhali and Chittagong. Being an eye-witness account, this memoirs is an invaluable source of information on the history of the Catholic Church, Dhaka City, and social customs in Bangladesh for five decades starting from the late 19th century. It was published in the 'Pratibeshi' weekly of Dhaka as a series betweeen Sept. 22, 1996 and June 1, 1997.
