American Psychological Association (APA)

author date system) that is used for work
in psychology and many other disciplines.
General Document Format Guidelines (APA Style)
Margins – 1” on all sides
Font – 12 pts Times New Roman, Courier or Arial
Spacing – double
Alignment – flush left
Paragraph indentions – 5 to 7 spaces
Pagination – 1” from the rightmost edge; first line
On standard size paper – 8 ½” x 11
Include a page header ( short title & page number)
in the upper right-hand of every page.
APA Guidelines
All lines after the first line of each entry in your reference list should be intended one-half inch from the left margin.
Example:
Brendt, T.J. (2002). Social development.
New York: McGraw-Hill.
Authors names are inverted (last name first), give the last name and initials for all authors of a particular work for up to and including seven authors.
Example:
Abanilla, C.L.,Alcance, K.V., Aranilla, J.M.,

C.S.,
Eule, M.J.(2013). Introduction to

Reference list entries should be alphabetized by the last name of the first author of each work.

If an article appears on discontinuous pages, give all page numbers, and separate the numbers with a comma (e.g., pp. B1, B3, B5–B7).
