Infrequent Feeding

• Because of small stomach size, children need to be fed frequently throughout the day

• Labor, time, and resource constraints are often obstacles to frequent feedings

Inadequate Food Quality & Quantity

• Inadequate energy density

• Too much bulk or too diluted
