Want to learn about Japanese music? Miyama is a performer of the Japanese 13-stringed zither (koto), who is based in Tokyo. In this demonstration you will learn some basic history of Japanese music, and of course, the koto. See also how this ancient traditional instrument is now used in modern music. Students will also be invited to experience playing the koto, and learn the basics. Come to see, hear and experience the koto!
