To recognize the use of can / can’t to expressabilities in aminals. (Reconocer el use de can/can´tpara expresar habilidades en animales).

What can the tiger do?

The tiger can run

What can the penguin do?

The penguin can swim.

What can the monkey do?

The monkey can climb.

What can the bird do?

The bird can fly.

What can the lion do?

The lion can jump.

Can = poder

Can’t= no poder

Example:

• The kangaroo can jump.

• The kangaroo can´t fly.

Now it is your turn!

Activity:

• Draw and color an animal and write next to the picture what the animal can do and what the animal can’t do. (Dibuja y colorea un animal y escribe al lado de la imagen lo que el animal puede hacer y lo que no puede hacer).

• The zebra can run.• The zebra can’t swim.
