Annex B: Venues of the Singapore: Inside Out showcase in Beijing, London, New

York City and Singapore

BEIJING

751 DPARK (751北京时尚设计广场)

About: 751 DPARK, located in the Chaoyang district, is one of the 33 creative clusters in Beijing and the centre

of the Beijing design and art scene. Situated on the grounds of a former power plant, 751 DPARK features

unique Bauhaus-style industrial architecture and boasts multiple indoor and outdoor event spaces, including the

Watertank, the Locomotive Square and the Power Square. It is also home to design studios, furniture showrooms

and fashion firms and houses.

Since its inception in 2011, 751 DPARK has hosted events like China Fashion Week, 751 International Design

Festival and Beijing Design Week, cementing its reputation as a world-class creative and design venue.

Singapore: Inside Out will be held at the Locomotive Square, located at the main junction of 798 Art Zone and 751

DPARK.

LONDON BRICK LANE YARD

About: London’s Shoreditch district is an area that is synonymous with creativity. It is also a trendy enclave of

galleries, independent shops, cafes, bars and weekend markets. At the heart of this vibrant neighbourhood is the

Old Truman Brewery, a space which frequently plays host to arts and cultural events, fashion shows and art

exhibitions and is home to legendary independent music label and retailer, Rough Trade Records.

Singapore: Inside Out will be held at Old Truman Brewery’s Brick Lane Yard, an old service yard that has

previously hosted major exhibitions and events.

NEW YORK CITY

MADISON SQUARE PARK

About: Singapore: Inside Out will be held at Madison Square Park, which is located in Manhattan’s Flatiron

District in New York City. The area is home to a culturally diverse and creative workforce and community including

the renowned Madison Avenue advertising industry corridor, as well as numerous architectural, design, public

relations and media firms.

Bordered by the equally vibrant Chelsea, Gramercy, NoMad and East Village neighborhoods, the Park itself is its

own cultural draw, widely recognised by locals as an eminent public arts space in New York City with a long

tradition of featuring prominent artists’ works.

SINGAPORE

BUGIS

About: Singapore: Inside Out will be located on a grass plot at the junction of Tan Quee Lan Street and North

Bridge Road in the Bugis area. The site is also near to the culturally vibrant Bras Basah Bugis Precinct and Civic

District which are home to several museums, art institutions and arts housing.
