What is energy ?Energy is key input to drive and improve the cycle. The low of conservation of energy states that energy can neither be created nor be destroyed.

1. INTRODUCTIONLife is impossible without energy so the demand of energy is ever increasing.

INDIA ranked sixth in the world in total energy

Consumption: India has installed power capacity from 1262 MW to over 112.058 MW this achievement is impressive but not sufficient

So we mostly needed renewable source of energy.

Concept of Renewable energy

Renewable energy source also called Non-Conventional energy. Like as Solar energy, wind energy, bio energy, Hydro energy, Geothermal energy and Tidal energy

Energy

SOLAR ENERGY

Energy from sun is known solar energy

Utilized: solar thermal and solar electric

TW: Tera Watt (T=)

SOLAR ENERGY UTILIZED

SOLAR COOKER

A solar cooker is a device which uses the energy of direct sunlight to heat, cook or pasteurize food or drink.

SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC CELLA solar cell

is an electronic device which directly converts sunlight into electricity.

SOLAR WATER PUMPSIn solar water

pumping system, the pump is driven by motor run by solar electricity instead.

SOLAR WATER PUMPSThe solar

water pump is used in the open well, bore well, pond, canal etc.

WIND ENERGY The process of

movement of air from high pressure to low pressure to equalize pressure difference at earth surface, is called wind

BIOMASS AND BIOENERGYBiogas is

a gaseous mixture, generally composed of 60 percent methane

BIO-FULES1st generation

of biofuels are made from sugar, starch or vegetable oil

OCEAN ENERGY

Oceans cover more than 70% of Earth's surface, making them the world's largest solar collectors.

Ocean energy draws on the energy of ocean waves, tides, or on the thermal energy (heat) stored in the ocean

TIDAL ENERGY

Tidal is a renewable and clean source of energy electricity generated

GEO THERMAL ENERGYGeothermal

energy uses the heat stored in the Earth to generate electricity and heat, producing one of the most reliable and constantly available sources of renewable power

SMALL HYDROPOWER ENERGYSmall

scale hydropower systems capture the energy in flowing water and convert it to usable energy.

CONCLUSIONThe demand of energy is growing to the

development. Due to the problems associated with the development of conventional source of energy, the focus is now being shifted to renewable energy source in abundance, which if development properly can arrangement the growing demand of the energy. There is a need to make full use of renewable energy technologies to harness the untapped potential in cost effective manner and fulfill the energy demand.
