Terengganu Inscription Stone (Batu Bersurat) is a granite stele carrying classical
Malay inscription in Jawi Script, found in Terengganu. The inscription dated 1303, Indicating Terengganu is the preferred choice by the Arab and Indian traders.
Kuala Berang was also amongs the busiest port with traders from China buying Kayu Cendawan, Gaharu, and Elephant Task in exchange for gold and silverware.
Admiral Cheng Ho visited Kuala Berang in the 16th century bringing with
him 62 vessels.
In the 19th century, Sungai Terengganu had about 200-300 perahu besar, carry out
international trade with Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and islands of Indonesia.

358 kilometre dual carriageway running between Kuala Terengganu up until Gombak. Travelling time of 4 Hours.
