Connecticut Chapter

Raised funds by recycling old cell phones! No SIMS cards or chargers needed!

Raised over $100 for really OLD phones – new phones and smart phones bring more $$! We will be doing it again!

Orange County (CA) Chapter

OrffBay!

Yes – just like eBay! Silent auctions for gently used donated teaching resources!

Held twice a year – OrffBay has brought in hundreds of dollars to the Orange County Chapter!

Rocky Mountain Chapter

Funds raised here are to provide scholarships to new/newer teacher members. The scholarships pay local, national dues and workshop fees for a year! This year’s auction raised nearly $1000!

Orange County (CA) Chapter

The Pacific Symphony Orchestra purchased a membership in the Orff Chapter as part of their educational outreach to students in the public schools. Many players have attended workshops, and some

have even taken Level 1. The bassoonist even

took Level 2!

Established a program with the Stagebridge Senior Theatre Company – funded by the

National Endowment of the Arts.

Northern California Chapter

Cross-training and sharing repertoire among 9 Storytellers, 6 Orff Music Specialists and 7 Classroom Teachers.

NCAOSA – Stagebridge Theatre, cont.

• Weekly classes are collaboratively taught by storyteller and music specialist

• 20-week program reaches 200 second graders from three Oakland Title 1 schools; most have no other music classes

• Students create culminating performances based on stories collected from family and community elders
