Hackathon challenge "How might we create an application for

APIVITA website (http://www.apivita.com), where users can find multilingual educational material?"

APIVITA – Requirements and needs To provide educational resources. To be contacted by the qualified

potential suppliers. Large amount of time is spent in

negotiation with unqualified suppliers.

Solution/Hack

BeeNet Solution based on two modules

envisioned as extensions of the existing APIVITA website: BEeTrained module, BEe a supplier! Module.

BEeTrained module [1] Large knowledge base is provided to:

Potential suppliers, General users that want to improve their

knowledge on honey, herbs, manufacturing process, etc.

Users are able to perform multilingual search for items related to various agricultural terms.

BEeTrained module [2] Knowledge resources are available from:

Organic.Edunet Natural Europe Chain Reds and more open datasets.

Implemented in JavaScript and HTML.

BEe a supplier! module [1] Suppliers application survey is

implemented. Gathers information about potential

APIVITA suppliers. Providing information which enable APIVITA

staff to filter unqualified ones. Pointing them out to the knowledge topics

in the areas in which they need improvement.

Interconnected with BEeTrained module.
