TRADING MY SORROWSDarrell Evans

I'm trading my sorrowsI'm trading my shame

I'm laying them down for the joy of the Lord

I'm trading my sicknessI'm trading my pain

I'm laying them down for the joy of the Lord

We say ‘Yes Lord, yes Lord, Yes, yes Lord’

Yes Lord, yes Lord, yes, yes LordYes Lord, yes Lord,

Yes, yes Lord Amen!

I am pressed but not crushed, persecuted not abandoned struck down

but not destroyedI am blessed beyond the curse

For His promise will endureThat His joy is gonna be my strength

Though the sorrow may last for the nightHis joy comes in the morning…

GOD WILL MAKE A WAY James Garrahy

No need to worry about yesterdayNo need to panic, this life you’ve savedSomething is coming, can’t you see it?

God will make a way through the desert.

A raging sea, a consuming fire,It’s coming, can’t you see the horizon?

A path through the water, an oasis of peace

It’s coming, God will make a way…

God will make a way for me!God will make a way through the sea

Even bring the mountains down for me

‘Cos nothing is too hard for HimHe created everything

He’s my Lord, my God, my VictoryHe’ll make a way for me.

Br: God will make a way … (repeat)

All who are suffering inside – wash in this waterAll who are hurt and confused – lay down

your struggleRest in the peace of the cross – there is

redemption…

“You will be my witnesses … to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8)

… like a treasure passed on from generation to generation

Heroic missionaries –

Blessed Mary MacKillop,

Saint Peter Chanel,

Blessed Peter To Rot,

THEY LEFT BEHIND

they shaped and which is being handed on to you

What will you leave to the next generation?

Are you building your lives on firm foundations, building

something that will endure?

Are you living your lives in a way that opens up space for the

Spirit in the midst of a world that wants to forget God, or even rejects him in the name of a falsely-conceived freedom?

How are you using the gifts you have been given, the “power” which the Holy Spirit is even

now prepared to release within you?

What legacy will you leave to young people yet to come?

What difference will you make?

Empowered by the Spirit

a new generation of Christians

is being called to help build a world in which God’s gift of life

is welcomed, respected and cherished

A new age in which love is not greedy or self-seeking, but pure, faithful and genuinely free, open

to others, respectful of their dignity, seeking their good, radiating joy and beauty.

A new age in which hope liberates us from the shallowness, apathy

and self-absorption which deaden our souls and poison our

relationships.

Dear young friends, the Lord is asking you to be…

prophets of this new age,

messengers of his love,

drawing people to the Father and building a future of hope for all

humanity.

PILGRIM PRAYER

Lord Jesus, we stand today as Your witnesses. We stand as the new generations of Christians empowered by Your

Holy Spirit.

We stand today as prophets of the new age of faith, hope and love

in the world. We are Your messengers of Your

Love.

We pray we may have the bold strength and courage to be Your

witnesses in our lives, bringing people closer to You and

in building a future of hope for the world.

Let us continue with You on our daily pilgrimage and may we come

closer to You.

Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the

fire of Your love. AMEN

Come to the Lord, all you who long for mercy

Come to the Lord, all you who thirst for truth

Rending our hearts, there we will find

A river of life flowing insideHe is the Lord –

He is the one our hearts long for
