II Cor. 8: 1-5 II Cor. 9: 6-8

(2Co 8:1) Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the

churches of Macedonia; How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the

riches of their liberality. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they

were willing of themselves; Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift,

and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints. And this they did,

not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of

God.

(2Co 9:6) But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also

bountifully.

(2Co 9:7) Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not

grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

(2Co 9:8) And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every

good work:

(Php 4:15-17) Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as

concerning giving and receiving, but ye only. For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and

again unto my necessity. Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound

to your account.

(1Co 16:1-2) Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I have

given order to the churches of Galatia, even so do ye.

(1Co 16:2) Upon the first day of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him, that there be no

gatherings when I come.

(2Co 9:7) Every man according as he purposeth

in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

(Mal 3:10) Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and

pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to

receive it.

(Luk 6:38) Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed

down, and shaken together, and running

over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be

measured to you again.

(2Co 8:8) I speak not by commandment, but by occasion of the forwardness of others, and

to prove the sincerity of your love.

(2Co 8:24) Wherefore shew ye to them, and before the churches,

the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.

(Mat 26:7) There came unto him a woman having an alabaster box of

very precious ointment, and poured it on his head, as he sat at meat.

(Mat 26:8) But when his disciples saw it, they had indignation, saying, To

what purpose is this waste?

(Mat 26:9) For this ointment might have been sold for much, and given to

the poor.

let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a

(Act 20:35) I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye

ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more

blessed to give than to receive.

Do you have a habit of giving?
