What is ASEAN+3 VOLUNTEER CAMP?

• This volunteer camp was Organized by Universiti Sains Malaysia.

• This is the first time to be held.• 60 participants are from Malaysia(21

universities) , Thailand(2), China(2), Myanmar, Vietnam, Indonesia and Japan.

What did we do? (day 1)• Going to KL and transit to Penang airport• Check-in the hotel

What did we do? (day 2)• Planting mangrove • Cleaning around mangrove swamps

and community around there.

Next Location: Royal Belum Park

• Depart to the village of Orang Asli by buses and house boards.

• Development of infrastructure (wash place and sign broad).

What did we do? (day 4)

• Development of infrastructure (Public toilet)

• Experience cultural activities

What did we do? (day 5)

• Rafting and water confident• Hiking to waterfall.• Depart to Penang and visit

Georgetown

What did I learn from this trip?

• This was the opportunity to exchange the language, culture, food and religion.

• Experience life in the different way (without electricity, phone signal and wifi…).

• Great fortune comes great responsibility.
