Through the process of our initial screenings I have learned a lot from our audience feedback. In this presentation I will show

feedback cards we received from peers and teachers and show how we made improvements. Overall I think our final video was

a big step forward from the first one and was very successful.

WWW- Fast editing worked well- It was cut to the beat

EBI- Quite dark in places- It was repetitive and needs more

narrative.- All mid shots

WWW- Use of the green screen worked well.- Framing was good.- Good performance shots and editing.

EBI- Lighting could be better- A lot of green screen- More variety of shot types

WWW- Green screen works well- Confident performance- Well synced

EBI- Variety of shot types- Hands disappear on green screen- More narrative- Narrative not clear

From our feedback cards we discovered that people thought that our video was good and looked like a pop video but that our lighting

wasn’t good at times, there was too much green screen in the video so it became less affective, there were too many mid shots so we needed

more variety, and our narrative wasn’t easy to understand because there wasn’t much of it.

Rather than re-filming, we decided we would edit the lighting on the editing machine. We put a brightness and contrast effect on the clip and brightened it. This saved time

as we had a limited time to finish the project and it also made a big improvement.

Before – initial screening After – final screening

Before green screen comes up 9 times in 45 seconds

After – Green screen only appears 6 times in 45

seconds.

We decided to take some of the green screen shots out and only keep in the ones we really

liked, this gave the video more variety.

Before – we stood in different formations but all our shots were mid shots including our solos so it

became repetitive.

After – we filmed close ups and long shots.

We re-filmed in front of a black screen with more variety of shot types and the change of colour on the screen gave it

even more variety.

Before – started with them looking at her but it wasn’t really clear what was happening.

After – included more narrative.

We started the story with her walking into school and made the story of them sending her nasty texts making it clearer to the audience what is going on.
