2002 - 2012 25 initiatives received ELL (24 projects, 1 individual)

Three dimension case study:-perspective of the project promoter-perspective of the NELLIP researcher-perspective of the NA officer

The most frequently referred to selection criteria:-inovative ways of teaching/learning languages-raising cultural awareness and intercultural dialogue-promotion of LWUL and multilingualism-learning languages for specific purposes

Evaluation and follow upMajority of the winner projects target adult learners

LT and EN are the most common target languages (80%)

DE, FR, PL, RU (12%)

Less common languages targeted (in 6 out of 14 case studies)

Impact and Exploitation of the ELL

IMPACTMost promoters applied for the ELL:•to share the project achievements and best practice;•to seek a greater visibility of the project results;•to add to the institution‘s profile and share its achievements;Most common factors indicated:•motivation to get involved in and promote other projects;•additional weight to the institution‘s profile;•increased motivation and activity of the staff;•increased networking, better cooperation between partners and colleagues;•better understanding between teachers and pupils;•attracting attention to adult and informal education;•a greater visibility of the institution‘s activities.

Impact and Exploitation of the ELL

EXPLOITATION AND DISSEMINATION

•web-based dissemination (institutional and project websites, e-newsletters, national news portals)

•paper-based dissemination (reports, brochures, conference publications, local and national newspapers)
