Just love the rain!!!!Monsoon, our most favourite and joyous season after the scorching summer .The sound of the rain fills our heart with a wave of nostalgia from the time we were kids.The rainy season meant a lot to us. The sweet earthy smell, the tiny droplets hanging onto the leaves, the clatter on the roofs, the coolest wind, paper boats,the muddy pools we merrily waded through and what not. Rather than cuddled up in a warm blanket we loved to dance in the rain. Getting drenched was never a problem. Today,the same droplets are showered on me when I see the tiny faces coming to school with pretty umbrellas and raincoats who have never got a chance to get soaked in the downpour. My dear little ones...

let the rain kiss you , feel the pinpricks of water against your skin, run down your face,fall off your chin... Let it sing you a pleasing lullaby ....for you can't

It was the coldest winter ever. Many animals died because of the cold. The porcupines, realizing the situation, decided to group together to keep warm. This way they covered and protected themselves; but the quills of each one wounded their closest companions. After a while, they decided to distance themselves one from the other and they began to die,

alone and frozen. So they had to make a choice: either accept the quills of their companions or disappear from the Earth. Wisely, they decided to go back to being together. They learned to live with the little wounds caused by the close relationship with their companions in order to receive the warmth that came from the others. This way they were able to survive. Sometimes, it can become so unbearable that we wish we could live in isolation, protected from the barbs of others. Alas, we are created to be social beings and being left alone only decreases our standard of living. The next time you are hurt by the prickly nature of one of your fellow porcupines, remember that you have spikes as well and can be just as challenging to live with. Let's learn to live with the sharp quills of others and hope and pray that those around us can learn to live with ours.Dear children, the best relationship is not the one that brings together perfect people, but when each individual learns to live with the imperfections of others and can admire the other person's good qualities.

Naipunya 2018,the inaugural ceremony of various thfairs of our school was held on 28 July, Saturday. It

was conducted under the leadership of 8 std students. The function was inaugurated by Rev.Fr.Thomas Chalackal CMI, The Principal of Bharathamatha Public School along with the esteemed presence of our principal Rev.Fr.Paul Thekkiniyath CMI and other executive members of BASS. Mr.Sreejith, the executive member of the BASS felicitated the occasion. It was a great platform to showcase the scientific, academic and cultural skills of the students in science, maths, social and work experience fairs.

VANAMAHOTHSAVAM 2018-19July 2: VANAMAHOTHSAVAM WEEK The celebration was inaugurated by our Principal Rev. Fr. Paul Thekkiniyath CMI by planting tree Butea monosperma in our school campus. A new project on “EACH CLASS A TREE” was implemented in order to form a “NAKSHATHRA VANAM”.

July 4: VEGETABLE GARDEN It was inaugurated by our teaching faculty Ms. Durga Raghu. Seeds were sown in the grow bags prepared by the students.Herbal plant and home remedy project is implemented in our school with the fund of Rs. 10,000/- granted by OISCA International in association with Oushadhi

July 6: KNOW THE PLANTA new plant is introduced in the weekly school assembly by the concerned class, making the students aware of the usefulness of the plant with its detailed description.

BAAS… Interactive Sessions WorkshopA workshop was conducted for the benefit of the children of class 10. The resource person Vijaykrishnan Plakkat made the children aware of the twist and turns that awaits them on their path to attain their dreams An orientation class was conducted for higher secondary

thstudents on 26 July by Mr. Unny Radhakrishnan. The topic was stbased on “21 Century Skills”. Through visual aids and discussions

he put through the idea to children that they are entering into a world of inventions and machines. He also equipped the children with skills to be adapted in future.

ALUMNI MEET – BAASthThe BAAS meeting was held on 29 July. It was a highly interactive

session. The alumni discussed start up programmes. They were keen to arrange seminars for our students on curriculum based topics and also talks in life skill development.

Nature Education Camp

The School Nature Club went for a three day camp to Peechi Vazhani thWild life Sanctuary on 26 July 2018. The children had a rich

experience in trekking, imbibing knowledge about wild life and enjoyed the view of the water gushing when the shutters were open at Peechi dam.

Student Enrichment Programme

A Palliative training Programme was conducted on th25 July 2018 by Dr.Manoj (District Hospital

Palakkad) for the Plus one students. He conveyed the message that we should serve our parents and grandparents with unconditional love.

th th thOn July 6 , July 20 and July 28 students of class 11 - A, 9 - B and 9 - C visited the old age home Snehajwala. They interacted with the residence, served them lunch and spent time with them.

st thMonthly provisions were provided on 21 of July 13 families adopted by the school (Marutha Road Panchayat) A word of appreciation to the students and teacher community of class 11 for their whole hearted contribution.

The PTA meeting of the KG section began with Mrs Deepa Mukundan detailing on the teaching methodologies adopted in the classrooms. Our Principal Rev. Fr. Paul Thekkiniyath CMI encouraged the parents for their active participation in both the Academics and related activities of the students for their betterment. He also proposed that the children, teachers parents and the school management as a whole can mould good children. The interactive session brought some valuable suggestions by the parents.
