SC Activities – Flow Management (3/4)

Context : lack of space in plants and flow complexity

Solution : externalise storage areas and stocks :

- create a upstream platform between the supplier and the PO plant

- JIT platform supply and re-delivery by small train in the plant ( multi-daily delivery )

- storage of raw material, components, semi-finished goods, finished goods, packaging

Objective : externalise non added value activities

-Decrease PO and supplier stock

-Transport managed by PO => PO also manage the risks linked to the transport
